There's a 3-bed bungalow just down the road on sale for £325k - it's not been refurbished, but it's hardly falling down either - I think young Natasha will be hard-pressed to achieve £100k more than this. She'll need to dop her price further.poppy100 -
So they have both moved into the properties rather than selling them.
Surprise, surprise.
They always, always say it was because they wanted to achieve more or other carp.
Why not just say that by moving into the properties for a few months they get exempt from CGT for the last 3 years of ownership. Saves 18% of any supposed profit.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good points, but I'd think more along the lines of:
- they had to, it was sitting there empty while they paid rent elsewhere
- moving in, at least they can control if it's wrecked
- 18% of £0 is £0 so not really any consideration
Oh well, at least they get to live in a lovely house for awhile .... I've only ever seen lovely houses on the telly, so you can't knock them for that. They've stilll "won" for a few months.0 -

A lot of people seem to listen to Sarah (rather than just drool), so maybe some of the hype of recovery will ease...
Indeed - I could almost hear some peoples hearts sink as Sarah preached that soundbite...
As for drooling - I wonder if Mr. Dickson still has any rooms for rent in his pad :blushing:
Anyone got a RM link?!0 -
I've just enjoed PN's summary more than I enjoyed the program.....
Although seeing the tension between the Rick family was amusing.....0 -
I need this thread to be like the old days. PN your commentary is superb but I enjoyed reading about Natasha's mother's face a bit more.
Remember that awful patchwork Chiswick house with the cheap front door and the door inside that went nowhere because she liked the way it looked :rotfl: and the guy came on here to defend himself/his lady wife (i think they said some very nasty things about her on hpc!) ? Wonder what happened to that house?
It's in here somewhere, some old faces on that thread - them were the days

They took it off the market in February 2009 after dropping the price from £1,300,000 to £1,095,000 and still failing to get any interest.
Has just been put back on the market last week with Foxton's for £995,000poppy100 -

The equivalent thread on this episode makes for fabulous reading on HPC.
I expect the Bulls are not going to like this series very much.0
