Just watched The Home Show. He gets rid of a bedroom, without telling them, to put the loft conversion stairs in? Then he doesn't finish the en-suite but spends what looks like a fortune on decorating and cushions? Pretty major changes that I think I would want to have some input on if I were the client.

I didn't think they got that much for their money this week. They should lose the paint it white bit as well, it's too gimicky.

    I've just watched PS&N. The bit I don't understand:

If I had just broken all the rules and ripped out ceilings and fireplaces in breach of listed regs and there was this bread oven right in the middle of my open plan room, I owuld rip that out at the same time. Why pull all the character out of every other room and leave the one thing that is a major headache

Does Beenie only film when heavily pregnant?

I can't decide. He is reminiscent of Mr. P as it goes, but he's just so earnest.

Euwww. Just shows different strokes for different folks.

Sure Mr P is lovely, but this George bloke?

He's just got a very.......annoying face, somehow. Can't put my finger on it.

He's nice to look at but I cannot stand the man. He'd deliberately wind up people on 'build a new life' in order to make them cry.

And then last night I'd have gauged his eyes out if I'd have given him that much money and he shrugged his shoulders at me and said "If I didn't have enough money, what was I supposed to do?"

You were supposed to do nothing! Give themn the money back and let them find someone who doesn't charge the earth. I could rebuild the whole house for that much money. :wall:

Do they really give them that much money? It's outrageous!

I must watch this Home Show. After wrestling with the floorplan for some weeks, I realise we'll need an architect for our new wreck.

Funnily enough, only last night, I sacrificed a small bedroom for a staircase. Much cheaper & less final on paper, of course!;)

Well I agree that the amount of money they spent was ridiculous considering it was semi-detatched in an average sized plot. I would just have moved to something bigger.
