If they are not prepared to go to market at the end then they shouldn't be on the program. .

but that would be unrealistic too. I think a lot of people thought the only way was up and justofied expenditure as ''investment'' and are now living in those properties, for whatever reason.

I have no problem with them living in it. I do have a problem with a program called Snakes and Ladders which does not deliver. Buy property, do it up, sell it - that's the Beeny deal. So IF the couples decide not to sell then fine, lets watch some other film about another pair of couples and cut that pair out completely. I can't believe they only found sufficient egotistical mugs to make half a dozen programs.

Am I alone in suspecting that the lodge couple always intended to live in their development? And were only pretending to be after a profit to get on tv/a few freebies.

They were so stubborn about wanting things they liked and nobody could possibly have thought the living/diningroom decor was the right way to go if you wanted to sell.

Absolutely agree. And perhaps the other couple realised long before sale time what their options were. Hence the special table, and strange chandelier, plus hideous black design wall thing, and bath SAT ON THE FLOOR, plus odd 'garden' with odd surface brick patio.

    We've been sold a pup.

And why that tiny so called garden? Who would buy such a big house with a tiny yard.

Did I mishear the Henley EA?

An identical house across the road has been on the market a few months at 599 without a sniff, now reduced to 499 with no interest. Seconds later "I would market this house at 620k"

    Say what now?

Looks like they really do give vendors the !!!!!!!! prices they need to hear in order to get the contract, then slash the prices to "real" levels later on to close the deal and net some cash.

They'd be lucky to break even using the lying EAs valuations. Probably in NE to the tune of 100k in reality, and looking to do it again and "hopefully make some money next time". I despair. Chuckleheads chuckleheads everywhere...

to be fair, he only said it was the house opposite - he didn't say it was identical, or in fact what it was like at all.
