The most they could realistically do is to make all the keys invalid, so at some point in the future, they might just stop working.

As some of the TechNet codes are static (i.e. fixed, not requiring activation / or volume licence codes) the above suggestion would only fix issues with retail codes which need to be activated...0 -

The key generation has been failing on me, but then it sprung to life for a Vista Ultimate key (well, three of them), and a Small Business Server one.0
