How to cancel Virgin Media WITHOUT cancelation fee

They have every right to increase prices within the minimum term-it is not a fixed price contract.
And of course if that is to your detriment, you have every right to cancel without penalty. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I clicked through the link in the email telling me about price rises. It says:
"The legal stuff: If you do not wish to be bound by these changes you can cancel your contract with us without penalty. The process to be followed is set out in our terms and conditions here."
Link here
So I might be doing that. I'm a bit disillusioned with virgin at the min. I'm paying about £50 per month after these price hikes and not getting much compared to other providers now.

It's a good point. I'm currently having a look at free sat / BT. But another advantage on an early switch due to price rises comes in to play. I can get sky TV for £20 per month. 12 Month contract and recieve £110 through quidco.

Thank you so much op
Just called VM and cancelled our contrat with no fee's despite only being four months into a twevle month contract :beer:0 -
I have called them after receiving the price hike but, the guy I talked to stuck to his guns offering to not increase the price after April and If I cancel have to pay the remaining months of the contract which they said started after moving to my new address. what a trap.0

A home move with VM always starts you on a new minimum term contract. But that should not serve as an impediment to you using the price rise as a way of ending your contract early without penalty. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Thanks macman,
What about virgin offering not to increase the price from April after receiving the price hike letter.
will that make it impossible to disconnect?0 -
If you accept that, then obviously you can't use it as a get out-your new minimum term date will apply. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
