washing bedding - how often?

  • I don't even wash my bedding when it starts to smell. :p :rotfl:
  • I think weekly is about right as we might wash more but most folk shower in the morning as they get clammy overnight. It also, ahem, depends what you do in your bed - teenage boys, (ahem) newly weds and those of us who enjoy the odd cheese and pickle sandwich in bed probably want to be washing them more regularly.

My mum did the same as yours - it must have been common practice before duvets came in.

I change the bottom sheet every 7-10 days and the duvet cover about once a fortnight.

Sheets and pillowcases every 4/5 days and Quilt cover every 10 days.. sometimes if its been really hot at night more often...but then I only have one bed to change unlike my daughters who have 4 or 5 lots to do..

Dearest scouser, they'll probably be able to walk by now and go wash themselves :)

But seeing as you're inviting, make me breakfast and I'll think about it :):p

ewww. i wash full set once a week at most but sometimes needd to change the bottom sheet in between if its been a hot night lol:T
  • I change my bedding weekly. However I have tons of spare sheets/duvet covers/pillow cases etc etc so I only put them into wash when I have 2/3 sets to wash. As for my duvets, my summer duvet is washed at home every 3 weeks. Then my winter one is washed (at local industrial cleaners) before it goes on the bed, end of Sept, then just before christmas, and finally before its packed away for summer. Pillows are washed every month. I must say I am a bit ocd about my bed/bed linen :rotfl:
