But some of it is a locality thing - I'd probably not find anything good in you area - I don't know your area.
Judging by the amount of bull Dr Ding Dog spouts it may well be Splot in cardiff.

The main memory I took from Scotland, was the filth, its one of the dirtiest places I have been.

Edinburgh only just beats Dublin by a short head in the "filthy City stakes" , but my gosh its a dirty old place.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

    Maybe your glasses were filthy?
I've been to Scotland several times, found it beautiful, green, picturesque and very friendly. I absolutely loved Edinburgh with its amazing castle and its old, narrow streets. Only the accents were terrible ;)
    From Poland...with love.

    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

Dunno why I'm wasting my time with a numpty like offhisdingdong, but scotland has fantastic food. The venison and beef are but two examples of that.

We don't have GCSE's in Scotland, its standard grades (used to be ordinary grades), highers, advanced highers (used to by sixth year studies) and also Int 1 and 2 (not sure what the 'int' stands for though :o).
    Intermediate :D

If you base your experiences only on what supermarkets sell then it will not be a representation of what is available overall, including in local and corner shops. Many parts of Scotland are lucky not to be overrun by supermarket chains and small suppliers are still covering wide parts of the community.

It was a good tool for comparison, the standards are so much lower IN MY EXPERIENCE, maybe I just picked 4 bad supermarkets on 4 different but very bad days.

Leaving Fife is always a bit sad. ;)
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I think I could quite happily live in Scotland . I've loved it since I first holidayed there when I was 16.

My sister moved to the Inverness area last year although it's not the first time she's lived in Scotland as she's lived in Glasgow and Inverness for a few years when she was married to her first husband. This time it's probably for good as she and her husband are having a house built up there. I'm not sure i'd like to live as far out into the country as they are , but it will be nice to go and stay there for holidays.

  • Scotland is great! i live in Paisley and i love it. Prescriptions are only free under special circumstances, eg, contraceptives, life dependant medicines, and if you are on the dole or working less than 16 hours a week.
Never regret anything that made you smile ;)
