1 - Your position in life is not of a level that you would receive an important call of any kind.
2 - A woman would know you well enough to even call you.0 -

Aye, right. You have higher standards and are used to better things than Michelin inpectors. Then you woke up.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I'm sorry, but that just says you've never been here, you've never particularly tried or you have no taste. We've eaten in good restaurants all over the world (it's our hobby) and some of the best have been local ones.
Per capita, there are as many Michelin starred restaurants in Scotland as there are in England. Many more, if you exclude London and Edinburgh.
I think much of the poor quality of Scottish restaurants is down to not being able to get a wide variety of good quality fresh basic ingredients, apart from native stuff, I think by the time it gets to you it is a bit tired, we are used to fresher food I think.0 -
So her chip is even bigger than yours then?
You couldnt have tried very hard then could you?
Because in my little village alone, there are 2 top class restaurants, and in the next village there is one fabulous one:cool:
So pray tell where exactly did you visit to get this very blinkered view?
Anyway, Cymru doesn't get calls from women.......Apparently, if you lose one sense, others senses are enhanced. That's why those who have no sense of humour have an enlarged sense of self-importance.0 -

:rotfl: That's funny. Really, it is.
What is it that we can't get as fresh as aother areas of the UK? I'm intrigued. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

What I did find disappointing was how behind the times some establishments are, 9 times out of 10, if there was soup on the menu, it was carrot and coriander , it was like they had just discovered coriander lol.
Anyway, I was just passing on some personal experience, didn't intend to get your back up.0 -
The woman is just a figment of this AE's imagination. He's been trying all thread to get someone to react to his old, old, old stereotyping (but just watch his reaction when you point out that the Welsh are sheep shaggers!!!).
Thanks Al. I forgot he claims to be Welsh. Must get boring with only 2 Michelin stars in the whole principality. :rotfl:There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

No Cullen Skink, Scotch Broth, !!!!-a-Leekie, Crab Chowder (just to name of few of the common indigenous soups). You should try something other than Brewer's Fare next time. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
