Go to your credit card provider, tell them it is an unauthorised payment and you want it refunded.
The bank is required to make the refund under FSA rule BCOBS 5.1.11R
If that happens regularly, then card providers are likely to take note. Visa and Mastercard can withdraw services to businesses which abuse them - which may actually be more effective than attempting to get the MOJ to act.0 -

I had these guys cold call me today. The first guy asked if I had taken credit prior to 2008. Having confirmed this he told me that a pack would be sent... About 2 hours later another guy who stated he was from lifestyle claims called me and said that judging by what i had dsiclosed, I was entitled to £1,500 and that if the claim was successful, they would take 30% as payment. HERES THE SUSPECT BIT....(and the scam if you like) he then asked for a current and live credit card to verify the address the pack had to be sent to. I asked about the electoral role records and he said that this was the way that they worked as they were a financial organisation. I told him I was suspect and he directed me to the ministry of justice website and quoted a company number and that section of the site gave the address the company was calling from. I asked the guy what was the name of e street that he was working at and he had to look at the site for the street name. !!! I was about to give the details of an old credit card that was maxed out and was about to read the details from an old statement and he said that this was no good as he needed the 3 digit pin on the back. !!!! I told him to call me back next week (giving me time to report the company for attempted deception) ......****STRONGLY ADVICE NOT TO GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS ****0

They are not a financial organisation. Financial firms are regulated by the FSA. This firm is regulated under claims management by the ministry of justice.
Card details are not required for any ID purposes and the address information is not supplied. There is only one reason for asking for your payment details....I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. I was called by these jokers yesterday and today. They wanted £359.58 from my credit card; I'm so glad that I did my homework on this company! Having been ripped-off before, I vowed never to pay anyone upfront fees.0

they've changed their company name again to client connections ltd.
Very very pushy callers who wont take no for an answer. Avoid them at all costs. Check out what X-ray reported about them.

phone number they are using is: 017927634960 -
I've just had a call from Lifestyle Claims. After I told them there was no chance I'd had any PPI, (because I know I haven't) they told me they were certain they could claim money that I had paid without realising on my 2003 mortgage that I had no paperwork for.
From the start of the call I had no intention of using them, but I wanted to know what they were selling me.
The call centre salesman, Matthew Jenkins, did his best but did get quite flustered on a few occasions. Especially when I told him that I wasn't paying money upfront and wouldn't give my date of birth. He immediately got his 'manager' to try to sell me the legal pack for £359. But it was ok, because I could leave the charge on my credit card and never actually pay it and get a refund after 14 days if I wasn't happy.
I didn't need to worry, because the whole phone call was being recorded and if he said anything he shouldn't, there'd be trouble.
I was also given the M.O.J reference number, which I see is the same as that used by the scammers mentioned in previous posts.
I told him 5 times that I was not going to pay them money over the phone, but he was very persistent. I even commented on telesales and commission (which he swore no one got). Even when I compared the call to the film 'Boiler Room' they didn't give in.
I managed to waste an hour of their time before neither of us had any more conversation left and I kept them optimistic by assuring them that I'd do some research and they'd be top of my list.
I think we should all try and keep them talking for as long as possible, and you never know, they might give up....0
