Ohh, that's near where I live. Where did you park and where did you go? I might like to try a little bit of it, probably won't manage the whole 8 miles straight away!

Here you go! The map shows just over 6 miles, but we didn't stick to the footpaths all the time. It's a good place to walk as you can wander around and take your time. It was fantastic last night - warm, sunny, empty and you could see for miles!

Froddy - ignore her. Delete her texts without reading in future please!

Jinky - sorry to hear you were upset. Hope you feel better soon
Big hugs to those recovering from accidents and near misses.
Huston - you're doing well - loved the 'helping hands' bit

Greenbee - big hugs. You knew that was possibly on the cards but it doesn't help being told it now definitely is. When you decide what your plan B is, could you help me decide mine?
Frodders - I trust you have deleted the text from said ex-friend immediately and have not responded....

jinky - hope you got over the upset

tia - thats a shocking reaction from the police, glad DH was ok

As for flying - I've still done no more than a few loads of washing and swish swipes of the kitchen. OH and I cooked tea together and I left him to clean up while I helped DD with her homework and been here ever since :D.

I will be spending much of the next few days doing research to try and help OH with his disciplinary hearing which has been rescheduled for Mon 15th now, so his union guy is coming over on Monday and I've taken the day off so we can go through everything but I promise I will be doing some flying over the weekend as tomorrow is Mum's 70th birthday ding dong.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Greenbee, how long does it take you to walk 12 miles? I've found a walk near where I live on that site, I know where it is and I've done a bit of it. It's nice. To do the whole thing it's six miles, but then Id have to walk home. How long would that take me, as an unfit extremely fat person

Big hugs Kaz for you and DH, hope he wins

    hi all,

Just to give you a quick update on Toots she was very chirpy and pleased with all comments passed on from here. She has started further treatment today but hopes to be home by this time next week, the treatment is to help with her breathing.

It was lovely to finally meet up with her and also SSL who as we looked at each other, realised that we didnt remember each other from school ssl we must chat further aboout who we may both know.

Flying wise not much has happened today, did give the house a very quick S&S before i went to visit toots but feel i owe it to her to get some stars this week........ will post my list in the morning once pigpen has added on thursday.

Twelve miles is a long walk - about 4-6 hours.

If you are going to do it, I suggest you go with someone - park a car at one end, drive to the other and then you can walk between the cars!

I think you need to build up to it - it would be something to aim for. Try to find yourself a training plan on the internet, and start with a mile three times a week, and gradually increase. If you've got a goal you'll be much more motivated!

Thanks Greenbee, I will try to do a bit of it tomorrow. I really want to get fitter this summer and lose some of this weight. Depression makes me fat and being fat makes me depressed!

Jjef thanks for the update on Toots. Are her breathing problems because of the cancer or another problem?
