I think boat is overstating it. It's actually a pedalo with Chucky, Pickles and Kenny hanging on, bright red faces and Speedos, pedalling for all their worth despite reports of an incoming tsunami. "No it's OK Chucky.. er.. I'll wait for the next one mate"

If we hang on surely it will put us in a stronger place so as to guage when the next one is approaching and do the right thing.

You know Kenny even though I don't see eye to eye with you on the issues of the day, I would respect that if you are not lying about your BTL's and business acumen, that you have a reasonable amount of intelligence, yet this comment above is giving me serious doubts.

Are you seriously saying that the Nationwide figure the other day is the bottom of the market, all I can say is you're on the boat on your own as even the other bulls (Stevie, chucky, Dan etc..) would seriously doubt that we are in for a glorious period of HPI. On the other hand your comment may have just been patronising crap. Either way, it's not a good look.

to be fair to Kenny he's in a different area to you that may have positive house prices to others. i'm sure he's entitled to his view.
there will be and are areas with HPI when others willstill be decreasing.

Lol. I knew you'd appreciate a bit of banter Chucky, after all you're big enough to laugh at yourself surely? Don't get your speedos in a twist.

And I love this line you are still doing...

To answer your original question Ad, I think missing the baot could refer to house sellers.

Sometimes they refuse offers because they are so much lower then the silly asking prices, little do they know that these are the highest offers they will EVER get.

Next year when the offers are even lower they will look back and say they missed the boat because they didnt sell in the bull trap.

Is it not used by the same type of people who laugh at FTBs who purchased in 2007, people who are repossessed etc?

The "I knew it was coming that is why I never purchased" brigade?

Surely the smugness of someone buying 10 years ago should be the same as they "knew house prices were going up"

There are just as many smug comments from both party's so I think it is a case of nothing to see here.

The amount of "told you so" buy some of the posters on here is radicals on both sides. I don't think the mindset or attitude is just a Bull problem there are just as many bears.

Mmmm, I'm not so sure mate, I know one or two on here who post quite often who did buy at the peak, I'm pretty certain it is well known they bought at peak, yet I don't see many pointy fingers or people laughing at them, and so people shouldn't either.

My OP was really asking why some of the bulls do it, I won't name them, they know who they are, it really is a pathetic statement and generally only used in a patronising way, they shouldn't do it as the karma always gets you in the end.

I am not saying you are I am just saying their are still bears that do exactly the same as these other annoying posters.

But some bears are the same.
It would be impossible to deny it, I have seen many comments on here people saying- "it was obvious this was going to happen", people "were fools for buying from 06 onwards", "how will you pay the mortgage if you are at a soup kitchen", "bet your in NE" "sheeple" etc !

The truth is you still have the same types of people on both sides of the debate.
To believe one side is less condescending than the other makes the whole thing even more deluded as people then seem to be able to see bad in others an not there own (hello Nazi Germany).
I see bad in both sides and have pointed it out before in the past.
But do i believe one side is more moral than another? NO.

There are just as many @ss holes on both sides, just that I am more willing to admit it as I have no need to say "my side is cleaner than yours" because I have no side with any of these people.

Ps i do not include you as one of "those people"
I think it would be better for both sides if people actually brought people on the loathsome posts and did not thank them.:)
There seem to be two types of poster and for some reason they seem intertwined, one of the reasons I stopped posting was I hated the way some abuse, upset, rile others and get thanks:confused:
