Am delighted to see everyone understands I wasn't being a killjoy - I use the stuff myself and love it.

Have found it excellent at soapscum.

Now, off to find a site which sells nice looking gloves... :)

I Have spent many a fruitless search for the elusive stardrops(in my area anyway) today I was so exited to find it at an asda far from home!! I have just cleaned my kitchen and it looks great, but my hands are so sore!! pink and dry looking, this is a lady who never ever wears rubber gloves. what a dissapointment.Having bought 4 bottles I will be using it for the forseable future Im not sure whether to don my first pair of gloves (outweighing my savings?) Or to see if I can get used to it.Is that likely?

Hiya balmaiden- as other posters have said dp wear gloves- your hands will thank you for it! Apart from protecting your hands from possible irritation, you hands when gloved can withstand far hotter water which is particularly more helpful when washing up. They only cost about a £1 and you are definitely worth that arent you! False economy not to protect your hands and then you will appreciate and use Stardrops much more. HTH

My faves are Wilkinon's heavy duty rubber gloves. Better than Marigolds IMO, last ages and only cost 85p if memory serves. OH has really sensitive hands and swears by them.

Just to say that if you have a hairdresser wholesaler near you, they sell dinky little spray bottles for a couple of quid.

There's a small garage near to where I work and they have this old guy who cleans the cars on their forecourt. They always look lovely and he takes great pride in them. Yep you've guessed it - he uses Stardrops. They cars are not just old bangers either- they are Subaru stockists and some of the cars are for sale at £20,000!!

Used it last in a carpet cleaner I borrowed, much cheaper than special carpet shampoo and did quite a good job. I was suprised as although I use stardrops,I would never of thought of putting it in the cleaner.

How much do you use in a carpet cleaner? I think its time I bought some of this stuff to try, & my living room carpet is in need of a good clean.
