I remember stardrops from when I was a kid, and today I hit Asda... My sister looked at me like I was mad buying it - you were right- it was on the bottom shelf, and is now 68p.

Got it home and it's fab!!! brought up my sink and taps brilliantly, and wiped my very grubby paintwork down a treat!

I'll be using it to clean the bathroom tomorrow!!!

I keep an empty washing up bottle with a diluted amount of Stardrops in the bathroom and it is handy to put a squirt on a cloth for the sink and a squirt down the loo then a swish round with the toilet brush. I still bleach the toilet every few days but remember flylady saying just use old shampoo you don't like or something when you clean the toilet (actually I think she said put old bits of soap into your toilet brush holder).
Stardrops is very good. |Still on my first bottle bought in the spring and it isn't even half used. eeek I sound grubby. I have been using up other odds and ends of cleaners as well though!

Sorry to be negative, but I don't like Stardrops very much. I haven't tried it on stains, though, but usually find that a decent scrunge of my washing liquid gets most stains out, but for mud you can't beat Borax and for grease it is soda crystals. Stardrops leaves a residue if you use too much, but it does make a good foam!

Does it have bleach in it or other strong chemicals - got an allergy to strong chemicals.

I don't think there is bleach in it. IIRC, there is a list of the ingredients for H&S purposes on the manufacturer's website - the link is in post 1062 above.

I am very sensitive to it - despite it not having bleach in it. My hands came out in contact dermatitis after I'd cleaned the shower with it - I needed steroid cream from the GP to clear it.

Regardless of what other peoples experiences are, I would always suggest a patch test before using anything new.
