U KIP if you want to, I'm voting Labour.

This government saved 50% of my and my wife's savings from melting away with the Icelandic banking system. There was no obligation for them to do so.
I have never voted Labour before, I am doing it purely out of gratitude. Anyone else feel the same?

They probably only saved your wifes money so they would have funds in the pot to pay to people like Sir Fred of RBS with his outrageous pension and to the greedy MP's expenses. As Gordon had been the Chancellor before he became PM he knew exactly what was coming and it is time for him and his cronies to go.

Me too, I'm trying to justify doing it this time, although I'm confident they won't win in the constituency I vote in.

NO 50% was safe, Labour repaid the other 50%, I'm not a Labour supporter, just grateful. Putting money in an Icelandic bank was poor judgement in retrospect. Did you know about the meltdown in advance? Perhaps you should be a financial adviser.

Actually yes. There were many warnings about the Icelandic banks and most investors chose inertia and the collapse.

The amusing thing about the current situation is labour made a big thing of how out of order it was for RBS to give Fred Godwin a nice big going away present. However the disgraced MPs (Of all parties) are allowed to carry on until the nest election (To avoid any embarrasing defeats) and they are allowed to receive nice big going away presents running into six figures (Plus their pensions).

Its a similar situation, Fred Goodwin made mistakes and had to go, the MPs took the mickey on their expenses and had to go. How come there is no indignation from the government on this...
