A member since 2004, I haven't sold anything since March, so last month I reduced everything with the 342 option. Still nothing - another two weeks & I'll bang it on the head and finish.

Tempted to thin the books dramatically then start again with a new ID & a better chance of getting a 5 star rating. The oldies all began with 4 stars :(

I have about 40 listed and sold two in the last month but none through the 3for2 offer I put on either
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • I did register and put a couple of books up, but quickly thought better of it and took them down again. Regardless of anything else the book condition ratings are a headache: http://www.greenmetropolis.com/help/faq.asp#FAQ_Q14

The 2nd best rating out of 4 is "Book looks new. May have been read, but no easily visible signs. Cover and pages undamaged, binding as new. No staining or creasing of pages."

Who reads books without leaving any sign of that book being read? These descriptions are totally unrealistic IMO. I much prefer being able to describe what I'm selling to buyers and letting them make up their own minds.

I'm leaving up what I have listed but I'm not listing anymore, it really isn't worth it.

Somebody actually wanted to buy a book!...... but it was no longer in excellent condition as the box had been moved in the attic & the cover had bleached

Once I'd thrown my toys out of the pram, sulked, picked them back up & taken a deep breath, I removed all my listings. I'm off to the charity shop on Saturday.

  • Selling Books on Green Metropolis, it seems great way because of easy to use, books removed after 6 months and free delivery on most items

Who told you books are removed after 6 months? Totally untrue.

So is the popular consensus of opinion that it's not worth bothering with then?
