Thats whats killed them on amazon, by the time I add the postage to the start price they are quite uncompetitive. The big sellers can afford to sell these as lost leaders. I'll give it a go there though as I have nothing to lose. I've a few other fiction ones I may put up as well0 -
I know Amazon's system of one postage price for all is nuts IMHO, its what I prefer about greenmet as the postage cost is shown in the listing rather than just the book cost - it displays as £3.75 + xxx postage. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I don't sell many books on Amazon (mainly CDs) but the postage is a pain when you get to the bigger books. You just can't compete with the bigger sellers. I've been meaning to dip my toe in Green Met for a while. I'll sit down this weekend and see what stock I have to put up. I'm in no rush to sell them as most of them have been on Amazon for an age anyway. Its always nice to try a new place0

As someone said above, I only list the ones I have read from my bookshelf at home, so it doesn't really matter whether / when I sell any..0

so trying to understand the fee stucture here. You sell say a normal paperback book for £3.75. plus postage out of that and 75p fees? Just cant find it clearly written on the site. I may be being a bit dim though. So your paying them 25% final value fees in reality?0

Near enough, I think its 70p to the site and 5p to the woodland trust for each sale. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Yep, basically if you list at their standard price the buyer pays £3.75 and you get £3 with which to post book and make a profit.
This of course makes it dear for buyers on basic paperbacks as many of the ones listed on Greenmet are 1p novels on Amazon so would only cost a buyer £2.76 on Amazon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just an update as Greenmetropolis are allowing sellers to opt for a 3 for 2 scheme.
