Selling Books on Green Metropolis Discussion (Merged)

I certainly never had any announcements from Greenmet about proof copies but I assumed it was because I had none listed. Thinking about it though I've never really had much correspondence from them at all.
In the past I've found them to be helpful in answering emails quickly and actually answering the question. However, the last query I emailed got a standard response that bore little relation to the question and although I tried again I gave up in the end. Maybe they are getting bigger and less personal? If only that was reflected in incresed sales!
I did have a couple of proof copies listed which were pulled - I got them free as review copies from a bookchain but it would have been good to be informed.0 -
I've just sold a book on Green Met, haven't sold anything on there for months. You must have jinxed me by talking about it - thank you.

I think I've listed about 20 so far, and nothing. Does anyone ever actually sell much?0

I keep a rolling stock of around 150 books listed and expect to sell about one a month on average. However the ones I sell tend to be non fiction where i have discounted the postage or else where the book fetches considerably more on Amazon. I don't recall the last time I sold a fiction book.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No, I thought as much, I have basically just listed all my fiction books as and when they have been read, as I tend to only read them once..But nothing yet. I've also been through and discounted them all by 50p, but I think the types I'm listing are fairly common. Probably more hassle than it's worth!0

I sell on average one book a month, mine are all fiction and mainly mass market, I find I sell older books rather than the latest ones (probably because the latest ones have loads of copies for sale at any one time) but have recently started to sell more of the books which are around 12 months after release.
I don't mind too much that I don't sell many as I don't buy them to sell on, and at the moment have no storage space issues (although the book cases of books I want to keep is another matter). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

How to heavy weight text books go on Green met. I have a couple I cant get rid of on Amazon so was going to look at other avenues. Do these sort of books sell there?0

I sold a couple of my old uni text books but make sure that you add the right postage amount or you'll lose money on them because of the 'fixed' purchase cost. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
