I've just e-mailed Tesco's asking them for their reason for refusing the electron card! Let's see what comes back!0
-
Tesco told me that it was to do with insurance ie if you are not present to use your card and something goes wrong, we the customer are not covered " and we wouldn't like that would we"?????
Nice to think that Tesco are protecting us :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
So us electron customers are special then, they don't care about something going wrong for all the other card holders that they let shop online, jeez they talk some rubbish, patronising gits :mad:Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I'm truly giving up the will to live (or shop at Tesco):
So far we have been told they can't accept it without seeing the blasted card - why is Tesco so different to other retailers on line. Then we are told it's incase we are all under 18 trying to buy cheap cider to get legless on - Why does this not affect sainsburys or asda? Do yobs only buy from Tesco? Now I'm told it's because Tesco's are protecting my interests in case something terrible happens? Why does not of this affect my shopping at Sainsburys or Asda!!!0 -
Sorry to butt in on this "conversation" but I thought this thread was about the co-op debit visa card?philnicandamy wrote: »IT is .....
Just having a frustrating time at the momentThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
Sorry, ON-topic,
I went to the Co-op right after court as both are twenty miles away. Gave documents which were copied. Tax credit award and council tax bill.
Today I had a letter saying I need to post them and have them verified or to go into the branch because there is no evidence on the systems of them! I really need this up and running very soon. Has this ever happened to anyone else?0 -
try barclays,I got mine openned straight away! got account number there and then.0

Yes, that happened to us, but by the time we went back to the branch the documents were on the system:rolleyes:
Apparently they only do the internal post for applications once a week, so the letter got send out before the docs we took in when we did our application got to them.
When we got to the branch the second time we were told they weren't needed and the account had already been opened. So before you go traipsing off to the branch, give them a call to make sure it's necessaryAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I'm down in Manchester this week, will be returning to Scotland tomorrow afternoon.
I'm going to go down to the Cooperative Bank Head Office in Balloon Street and see if I can put some of the concerns to management mentioned in this thread.
I'll update the thread tomorrow afternoon when i'm on the train.
Hopefully they will take on board some of the problems re the card beginning 4508..... which as we all know is an electron card.0 -
Hi Matrix - I'll wait to hear how you get on.
Peachy re the under 18's buying alcohol, as has been said above (somewhere!) they take solo and both my kids had a solo card from the age of 16 so it must be another excuse.
