    This was my reply!!

    Dear Mr Leonard

Why am I unable to use my Visa debit card on your website. I have used Tesco online for years, and now because i have changed my my bank account to an electron account with a visa debit card, I am unable to use your online shopping service
Please do not send me the bog standard reply that you are looking into it - This was sent to colleagues over 6 months ago, and still nothing has happened. Please do not insult my intelligence!
Please tell my why I cannot use it, and give me a timescale for when this issue will be resolved.

A Very unhappy and soon to be ex customer!!

:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:TI guess we all have to realise that although we are fully fledged members of the BR club our money is still something that businesses need (especially in the current climate). Now if a company i.e. tesco or the co-op (who i love) aren't willing to be accomodating then we need to be brave enough to take our business elsewhere. Money talks so phil please be sure to tell the co-op why you're taking your business elsewhere and tell them you know others who'll do the same as soon as they're able. Rant over (i still love the co-op, guess we're in our honeymoon period!!)

Tesco can move a mountain if they want to and you cant tell me with all the bods they have working on there websites that they cannot just get that sorted. Like people have said this has been going on now for nearly a year and they cannot be bothered in my eyes which is why i now use Tesco who to be honest cheaper and better quality than Tesco anyway. If they dont want me as a customer sod them.

Update on my account "opened" a week ago:

After calling every day it transpires that the ID / evidence hadn't been sent to the main system because they were waiting for the manager to come back from holiday. So it'll be another week at least. If I'd known that I'd have gone with Barclays

Got my new card today - only difference I can see is in the security digits and it says Debit. I stopped wanting to shop with Tesco once I realised they wouldn't accept it online, and have no intention of changing whatever card I have!

Can I just say that lets not forget who has given us BRs accounts and access to online banking. Yes the Co-op and lets not please give them bad press just because we cannot shop online at Tescos .

I take out cash and shop at Tescos.:p

Sorry to whinge but I am not to sure all this anti Co-op posts are doing people at the start of the BR process any good and not installing confidence.

Dont mean to be controversial ;)
