Morning all,
Just a quick one from me, as I am running late, Jackie, you will love a Thousand splendid suns, very good book.
Washing all up to date, and I dont do ironing, so a quick tidy round today and that will be it.
Hugs to all in need.
Haribo, thank you you are an :A0 -
Happy Friday all,
Warm and sunny here so popped on a cheeky pair of flip flops for work today - bliss!
I too have to drop boots in to be heeled, not been wearing them much as it's too warm so now is the chance to get them heeled.
Costco - LOVE that place. I am lucky to have a trade card through work so we go once a month for the washing powder, cereal and meats. I do agree you have to watch the prices though. I find that i do a quick 'fake' shop on mysupermarket.com then print it out and take along to costco this way I can work out if the bulk purchase is worth it or not.
Hermione - Hugs to you, your boss sounds like a total dragon. W*rk is rubbish enough without having to deal with a tyrannical manager.
I am on the countdown now until I finish work to start my PGDE, 2 months to go and I am super excited!
Has anyone else got a shock with their car tax this month? I had not realised it had gone up. Had to pay £68 instead of £60...god job I had saved some money!
OH's Mum and Gran are coming up later which will be good. Granny has not seen our new house yet and she is sooo excited!lol
Hope everyone has a nice non-stressful day, hugs xSpreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -

Good morning all,
Ivyleaf, I hope your ds has a great day.
Haribo, good luck with your German inlaws!
Peyton, it sounds as though you have really enjoyed the work, enjoy relaxing with DH
We had a disturbed night here. Ds2 has a sore ear and woke the whole house to tell us all about it....the poor thing was awake and crying for hours, so none of us got much sleep last night. Ds1 got up at 6am as usual to go to school but he looked so pale and tired that I sent him back to bed. Both of them are still fast asleep now. Hopefully I'll get ds2 an appointment with the GP this afternoon.
It's overcast here this morning but apparently when the sea mist lifts it's going to be glorious so all I have planned for today is nursing the invalid, working in the garden if I get a chance, baking some cereal bars and muffins, barbeque for tea and going to work this evening.
Then it's the weekend, and I can't wait! :j
Have a good day everyone.

A beautiful start to the day here too. It's my Mum's birthday today so I'm doing her a surprise birthday lunch :T she's had a tough year so far & deserves the treat. I've made the thick custard filling for the cake & just waiting for it to cool then I can fill & ice the cake - thanks Ravylesley for the idea. I've bought her a some pampering presents & put them all in a basket having been inspired on the hamper thread on the special ocassions board. She's got some cotton jammies, a nightie, some socks, a body lotion set from Boots that she loves, a china mug, cappacino sachets & 2 nail varnishesand I've put birthday banners up in the living room & kitchen
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to all MIA and to Penny Pincher hope your meds are sorted out soon for you. Have a great weekend at the caravan Halight you've got a lovely weekend for it.

JACKIO, A Thousand Splendid Suns is a great book, just wish I had read The Kite Runner first. I'm sure you will enjoy reading it.
Beth the stories are not connected or related in any wayI found Kite Runner unreadable and had to read Splendid Suns for book club. found it rather dull.
