Morning all,
Lovely day here, going out to water greenhouse in a bit before sun hits it...might put out some more tomato plants as I think we are safe enough to do it now. Dinner to-night will be hm pizza as I have lots of stuff suitable for stuffing...must make dough soon as I am going out for an hour or so. Salad with pizzas as there is lots of salady stuff in garden, my bok choy and bulb fennel are coming on well too, in spite of rabbits.
Washing on to hang out before I go out, there is more to be done in order to take advantage of weather...
Must say that I enjoyed both The Kite Runner and a Thousand Splendid Suns, found neither boring...different strokes I guess .
Nothing exciting happening here, which is how I like it in this weather
Have a good day

i have come to the conclusion that i need to be become more organised... i have just worked out that this week alone i have spent a whopping £32 on getting to and from work, with lunches, when i should have spent £10... so my earlier happiness of realising that i have virtully no house work left to do this weekend, has been eclipsed by the fact that i have been hemorraging cash this month...
after today i am officially on a diet, and am off now to join the grocery challange... as i have to stop p****** my hard earned cash up the wall... so no more cakes for me next week.

Afternoon everyone- Big hugs to everyone who needs them.
Had a busy half term - examiner's meeting, visiting Mum and Dad in Cumbria and getting to grips with my exam scripts.
Just been shopping with friend and my fairy goddaughter, picking up some YS basics, and am enjoying some quality time with our garden tiger (crashed out next to me). We're off to a board games night tonight, so I'll be chucking a cake together soon.
Back to school on Monday- at least we got through Ofsted.
Fingers crossed to everyone facing exams at the moment.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Hi all, just come in for a breather and a drink of water -I've been weeding the borders alongside the drive. There are quite a few hollies and my arms are scratched to bits.I'll go back out in a minute and make the most of it.I was a bit confused looking at my watch wondering how it could be half past eight till I realised I put my watch on upside down after I had washed my hair :o
Pink- hope DS ear is a bit better-earache is horrible, poor thing.
Tea tonight is pork steaks with salad,I will pop them in the Remoska then the kitchen stays cool.
I've done flylady jobs for today, and bathed the dog,so he's nice and cool cos he's still damp, and done some typing for DH,thats my lot apart from dishes after tea.Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Halight, enjoy the break at the caravan.
Hugs to those in need.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Good evening,
We've been to Tatton Park today, which was fabulous. The weather was perfect, and we took a picnic. I always carry a picnic rug (waterproof backing) in the boot of the car, so we're ready, and after a spur of the moment decision to go, it took me 15 minutes to throw some sandwiches and crisps together.
Ds is a fussy eater, but he really enjoyed his picnic. We walked round the gardens and explored the farm. Ds had a lovely time in the childrens playground, and didn't want to leave. It's less than 2 weeks now until dh leaves for the Falklands, so it's good to have some family time together.
By the way, most of my friends have read The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, and have enjoyed them. Me, I am currently working through books written by Babs Horton, such as Recipes for Cherubs, and Dandelion Soup. I'm really enjoying them
Take care all of you and MSD, what's happening, where are you?0 -
evening all!
been a very busy day here but its been gorgeous in the sunshine!:j
This morning I got up at 5am and went to work with DH on the milkround(he went at 1.30am - I joined him later) then this afternoon I've mowed the lawns.
I had to have a lie down in between as I keep feeling very tired - its my homones I think as my oestrogen is still very low and the doc thinks I would be better having the Mirena coil instead of taking even more oestrogen(something to do with the depo jab causing a premature menopause) - not looking forward to having that fitted_pale_
I'm working tomorrow but have booked Sunday off:j
Halight - hope you all enjoy the weekend
PP - hope you're feeling a bit better x
(((hugs))) to those in need
have a great weekend all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

I have read one of hers ' a jar full of angels' brilliant book.
Just had some gnocci for tea did not eat too much as i was not very hungry.
DD and i went into town, and she asked around for a saturday job, one woman is going to phone her back, but most would not consider her, because of her age (14). I did hear as we left two different shops, ' oh what a lovely young girl' and one said if they would have employed her if they could. Makes me soooo proud :T
Have good evenings all x0 -
Evening Everyone :hello:
Late posting for me today as not had a good day, got up quite early came on here & read a couple of posts then starting getting a migraine so have spent most of the day in a darkened room. Dont get these often luckily but am useless when I do get one.
Am feeling better now so have made dinner and in a little while am taking kids to Asda in another village to get DD's tights for school next week. This is so I dont have to go out tomorrow and can get on with the ironing mountain and the housework. As soon as I am home will be having an early night.
Was meant to get some change from the bank for a float for the bootsale on Sunday so will have a sort around and see what we have got around the house.
Hasnt been the best half term as I have felt ill for most of it - must start eating more fruit and drinking more water, have had a lot of business stress lately as well which isnt helping but hopefully should ease sometime soon.
So am OS fraud todaythough did make dinner. Will make up tomorrow I promise.
Hope everyone is ok & ((((hugs))) wherever needed.

so hard isnt it for them to find a saturday job, when she is fifteen will that make her 'employable'?
my DD who is 15 was really lucky as she did gymnastics to a high level and now she has stopped, she has done a coaching course and works at her old club 4 times a week she earns about £50 a week .:T
:TI know some of her school friends work as waitresses , in shops so maybe very soon she will be able to get something. does she have a talent she could teach? like dancing? good luck to her, it does them so much good when they are earning0
