Angelkay, Your blue cake is lovely, and your other one looks much better with the orange ribbon. Don't worry about them "all looking the same" - mine do too!
It's hard to change things when you've just got it worked out. I'm trying to change my cakes but keep going back to the tried and trusted design.

I agree with that. I think once you master the whole Nappy Caking thing, it's difficult to veer from your own tried and trusted method. Your cakes are lovely though Moonpenny, very neat which is what I like in a cake. I have bought some different colour blankets and ribbon to try recently..watch this space (if the work out!!)

Great NC's Angelkay. Well done for trying something different. I love the orangey colour x

Just finished this one for a christening gift for my cousins little girl. She is 1 so I have used a dress and top set which I got from Tesco as well as the most adorable little shoes! Also put size 4 nappies in :)

    What do you think?

  • Hiya,

I know we tend to be secretive (sp) on here of new small gifts but i would like your opinion on this one. I got the ice scream 'glass' in a local Poundworld (£1 LOL) i bought 3 in pink & in blue. My OH thinks that its a bit weird using something thats not for the baby!

    Thanks

    P.S. fab cakes everyone.

Wow that's fab Jo, really different. What is the contents? I don't understand the secrecy on here, all these things are on ebay, usa sites and on crafter's blogs??
I don't make any of these unusual gifts, just cakes and hampers. Well done!
