Hi Sally, I did a tutorial which I was told was reasonably easy to follow. You are welcome to have a copy if you can PM me your email address. I did it for Saveapenny but since then a lot of the ladies on this thread have asked for it and also a couple of ladies from the other boards.
    Let me know.

    Good Morning Everyone

    Hope you're all well?

I've been taking a look on You Tube at all the cake tutorials that are on there and I noticed a lot of them are just "nappy" cakes, ie where they don't cover the outside with the blankets etc.

I wonder if any of you lovely ladies who use the blankets on their cakes have ever made a tutorial step by step video or would consider doing one?

    Sally

I dont know if its of any help but on the 1st page of this thread there is a post on help with folding blankets it may help :D

How did you secure the clothes to sticks?

i use the florists tape that is not sticky buy only adheses (sp?) to it's self when you pull tighter on it - sorry i dont know the right name for it. i use to get the clothes to stay on the stick then ontop of that i use sticky florists tape and cover the stick with that so you are not using sticky stuff on the clothes so they won't get ruined.

i was in aberdeen today and there's a lady who sells baby stuff on a stall inside the shopping centre, she normally sells baskets with baby stuff displayed nicely. today she had nappy cupcakes. 4 nappies rolled up with flowers stuck ontop and inside those plastic see thru cartons like you get with mini tarts from the bakers (with the 4 seperate compartments) and she was selling them for £5 - thats some mark up on 4 nappies. they didn't look very nice tbh a bit scruffy but it might be an idea for someone as i've not seen the cupcakes done with nappies before
