Hi nappy cake makers
Hope your all busy I love everyone's new pics
Janey21 I've been trying to send you a pm, I don't think any of my attempts have worked though as my sent box is empty each time is it cos I'm a newby? Surely I should still be able to send a pm? I must be doing something silly!
Anyway it's about those absolutely gorgeous perfect bears... Please could you pm me and I will try replying? Thank you I'd be very grateful
Ive been really busy approaching florists and gift shops asking if they'd like to stock my cakes - does anyone else do this? What kind of arrangement do you have I have been offering 10% cheaper than my prices on the understanding that they can increase the selling price if they wish. I've had one baby shop put a big order in but nothing since I've got a couple left to see yet so fingers crossed.
Oh well my little boy will be up soon so just finishing a baby girl bucket bouquet I need to get posting so I can upload some pics too I love looking at yours everyone's so talented!0 -
I haven't approached any shops because I haven't got the guts! When I first started my husband asked in a shop that belongs to his mum's cousin or something and she said she would but never got round to going to see her - bad I know. Perhaps I should go back again now I'm trying to get things going properly.
What towels do everyone use for towel cakes? Do you just use a specific kind or just go with what the customer wants? I did one as a gift for a friend last year and I'm going to do another soon so want to push for some sales and I'm starting to get enquiries. Where does everyone get them from and what kind of quality do you use? I've worked in linens and know that there's a million and 1 types! Going to try and work out some prices tonight.Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -

I went into my local florist to buy some silk flowers, she asked me what they were for and when I told her she asked to put some in her window. I told her how much I wanted and left her to put her own price on them. A friend of mine went into to see how much she was asking for them and she had added on fifteen pounds to each cake. I ended up having to go over and take them all back one by one as I sold them myself.0 -
