Happy easter everyone, hope your all having a lovely day.
I made some pamper towel cakes at the weekend and struggled folding the towels. How do others do them for towel and wedding cakes?
How are the new cake bakers getting on? I'm slowly plodding along trying to source more orders x
Looking forward to new ventures

Happy Easter everyone. I need a bit of help with towel cakes as I have never made one before. How do you fold the towels and what holds it together so you can put things in them if it were a pamper cake? Also I'm baking a christening nappy cske for my god daughter but don't know what to put in it, any suggestions would be great xx

Towel cakes, I dont think there is any real way of folding them you just have to keep trying till you find a way that works for you.

Thats all i did was just keep playing around till i got it right. When i started out there was noone to ask how to do anything so i just played around. Jusrt keep trying you will get there :)

Thanks giggle, I was using some towels that were microfibre and had them Sussed but got some thicker ones and spent ages trying to do them. I manages to get one lot how I like it but then couldn't do it again. I will have to write it down.
Looking forward to new ventures

I agree with Giggles, most of us on here have spent hours and hours working out our techniques and what works for us might not for someone else, you really just need to play around with whatever you are using because for eg: a micro fibre hand towel will not give you the same strength or bulk as a 500gsm hand towel, same with the nappy cakes, Pampers give more bulk than Huggies, but the cheaper brands don't work as good, it's all trial and error I'm afraid, keep trying you'll get there. Janey x ;)

That's why I struggling, as I switched from microfiber to normal towels. I have tried folding as I do with baby towels and also rolling. I need to write it down when I find a way that works. I'm always forgetting. Happy cake baking x
Looking forward to new ventures
