Zangels I actually struggled a little with my bouquets and after lots of trial and error I chose to use ordinary Sellotape. It causes absolutely no damage to the socks/hats etc and is easily removed. I suppose it depends on how you make them? Some use a blanket to wrap round so stems would prob be better for this design or a cardboard flower box. I put mine in a bucket/pail. The 7 nappies in the bottom keep everything nice and snug so I don't use stems for the baby items. I tuck the little socks (or whatever) in so you can't see the Sellotape and fill any gaps in with leaves/greenery on stems. Its worked so far they feel secure and don't move around especially once all wrapped up in cellophane. Just another idea for you! Good luck when I'm creating a new product it takes me AGES! I try so many different ways and normally use the first! I must waste lots of time!I Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -

Giggle love your bouquet - is it in a pail? Wow it's lovely! It overshadows mine anyway:)
I want to add some pics, would really like some feedback, when can I start posting some pics do you know?
Zangels yeah I did try it that way but tbh there was no difference i didnt see the need to use stems and wrap them in the florist tape as you cant see it anyway. I have one large artificial flower (on a stem) in the centre then 8 'buds' of socks hats and scratch mittens around. I stick in a "its a girl/boy" pick and wrap a ribbon round the pail. They look lovely although i must admit now after reading my previous post again they don't sound very professional do they! I've had no complaints and I've sold a few so people must be happy! I forgot to mention a little detail - when I wrap the sellotape I always leave a 'tab' so it can be easily removed
Is it ok to talk pricing on here? Not actual prices I was just curious as to how you girls come up with a price for a new product. Do you stick to a method? It's so difficult. Do you total the cost of products and then add on profit to reflect how long it taken to create? I have just done a large teacup and saucer with facecloths swirled in the teacup 2 custard cream biscuits and a flower bath melt. It takes only a few minutes to put together but once wrapped its quite a large gift. Just can't decide how much to charge. Sorry for my rambling! And sorry if your not meant to talk money!0 -

I get most of my stuff when they are on offer and usually price my items at around double what it actually cost me to make. I find that my prices are good value, and people are more than happy to pay what I charge. By buying things such as blankets etc when they are half price I am able to keep my prices pretty low and still end up with a nice profit.
My nappy motorbike cost around £11.50 to make, but it could cost me up to £15 (maximum) depending on where I can get stock from etc. I am pricing them at £25.0 -
Ok here is a picture of my first attempt at Bouquets, I had no bibs or hats etc in stock but wanted to make a sample to take to fairs, it has 4 pairs of socks and 2 wash cloths, Would really appreciate feed back. I also have no idea what to price them at?Looking forward to new ventures :beer:0

Hi girls,
I love all the images of nappy/ wedding cakes and bouquets and think it's such a cute and original gift idea and you're all very talented. I'm a dab hand at arts and crafts and really fancy giving this a go. I've asked around and been to a few craft fairs with my MIL who does home crafts in her spare time, and there is nothing even slightly similar being done in the area it's just all cupcakes and home crafts, so I think if I started a little business doing this I may be able to make myself some extra pocket money while job hunting, especially at the craft fairs.
Just wondering if people have any advice? How did you all get started? What did you start off by making? Initial start up costs do you make a profit or loss? Any private messages greatly appreciated. My brother is a web and graphic designer so I have leaflets and a website covered if it comes to it.House deposit 15/15k hurrah!
