Do you all think the market is now saturated with Nappy Cake makers?

When I started there were very few people making in my area. It now seems that loads of people are making them.

Gone are the days when people would say they had never seen or heard of nappy cakes :(
Yes there are loads about now everywhere you go there is someone making them

  • It does seem like there is a lot of people making nappy cakes now, but everytime I go to a fayre people always say they've never seen them before, maybe its because we eat, sleep breath nappy cakes we are so familiar with them????

I know what you mean. I seem to see them everywhere but all my friends and family are amazed with the cakes I make and say it's such a good idea and they haven't seen anything like this before. Just as well really...
  • Hi all just found this page and just wanted to say how great all your cakes are I have been making cakes for about a year to supplement my income but mainly because I love making them as don't make too much profit from them.... Does anyone know where I can get some nice bright blankets from like yellows and green etc rather than just the blue pink and cream,... Have a big event coming up in march so need some new designs would love to show you a couple of my cakes to see what you think how do you do it.... Honest opinions too please :)

I am thinking of doing a local craft fair in March. Do I need to have any kind of insurance to do this?

I have just booked my first craft fair for March too!! Feeling very nervous but excited about it. I'd better get some stock made up as only got 3 cakes at the moment!

I have been told that you need public liability insurance which I am going to get nearer the time as I think you pay annually.

While on the subject of craft fairs, has anyone got any tips of anything I should take with me and do those of you that do fairs just take cash or credit cards too? I would rather just do cash, but would I be limiting my potential sales?

Hi sweet pea when do them I bring table clothes a big selection of items esp you small and mid range cakes as they are the ones that will see on the day loads of business cards I sometimes bring a little stock so I can make a couple if I get bored or get an order for something I don't have :) oh I and also only take cash and hasn't been. Problem before as long as there is a cash point nearby always worth you finding out where the closest one is first
