I'm gutted as I've missed out on the gift sets from Disney Store online. I was going to buy them last night and then I got distracted and thought I will buy them today but they have all sold out. Probably just as well really as I've spent way too much money on stock already. They were such a bargain though.

They had tons of the sets in the Disney Store, Store today!

I bought 5 of each and 2 Thumper ones. Disneystore.com cancelled some of my order as the items were `out of stock` so really pleased I managed to pick them up instore..

The sets are really lovely and the bears are just the right size!

The Thumper set is my favourite, only managed to get 2 of those though.

Clinton Cards were selling off some lovely Keel Toys to.. bears with pink and blue noses for £1.99!! Got a load of them aswell!

    Happy Shopping !!

Just been into our nearest big town and Disney store had them in stock. :j so I bought one girl Pooh set, one boy Pooh set and one Thumper set. I would have bought more but I have spent a fortune on stock even after I said and posted on here saying that I wouldn't .

Just need to get some more orders now! Have got an order from Fiance's sister plus an order for a twin boy cake plus another couple of possibles for later in the year.

Am so annoyed though as still waiting for my blue bows to be delivered from Ebay, been over a week now so I think they have been lost. I have contacted the seller but purchased some more from a florist seller that I bought pink ones from and they came really quickly and good price too. I can't wrap my blue cakes without the bows which means that I can't fully get my advertising going properly.

No, not that I know of. The ones that I think have gone missing in the post from Ebay cost me 19p each, but the ones that I have bought since then come from a Florist on Ebay and were 40p each (£1.99 for 5). I thought that was quite a good price or am I wrong?

I am near Wellingborough, Northants. Just had a look online and there does seem to be a florist wholesaler in Wellingborough so I will check it out next time I am in town. Thanks for the tip.

I am very excited as I've just got another order for a neutral cake - typical as I've spent a fortune on blue and pink stock and hardly any neutral stuff. Never mind, it's an order and I am very happy. Plus, I've got another possible order too!

    hi all!

Irlip, did you find anywhere you could start a website for free? id also be interested in this.

How do people go about advertising? so far i have used word of mouth and fb.

    no orders yet :-(

    boo hoo
    xxx

I looked into this for weeks as didn't want to spend out a lot of money if it wasn't going to take off... I'm still not sure it will! I'm sure if I could control my spending I would have at least broken even by now... I'm avoiding my receipt box!! lol

I went with an american based web host/builder called weebly.com (won't let me post links yet!) it's free and easy to use. I'm not particularly 'techy' especially with HTML code etc but was determined to learn enough to do it myself and not have to pay someone else to do it for me! You can also have a shop, can choose between Paypal or Google checkout. I chose Paypal as I'm slightly familiar with it through Ebay. As it's all free, you pay a small percentage on each online sale. In my opinion it's the perfect solution, if in the future it really gets going maybe it would be worth my while to get a pay monthly system. Weebly offer this also for £4.95 (I think) but from what I can tell this just removes the tiny, hardly noticeable ad from the bottom and gives you more designs to select from.
It will automatically give you a domain name: www xxxx .weebly.com so you may as well register and try it out, you don't have to publish it. I purchased my domain name from 123 reg (about £7 for 2 years) and just linked it up, so I don't have the weebly bit in the title.
It's web based so you don't need software and very easy to use, choose design, add pages, click and drag 'text' or 'picture' or 'title'. Definitely worth a look.
There are a few youtube tutorials for weebly, I found the one that tells you how to add a facebook 'like' box to the website quite useful.

I really hope this helps someone, any questions/advice on weebly just ask - although I'm no expert! I know the basics but they do have a good (apparently - not used myself) support team.

Really must go, just seen the time! I'm meant to be in the office at 8.30am ! Whoops! :)

    Best wishes,
    Louise
