This is my 1st ever nappy cake, after asking above for a tutorial. This is what i came up with....is it any good? or is it rubbish? 261290_224596237562818_100000373300619_734958_7951261_n.jpg

there is lots hidden inside, clothes, bottles, etc x

    Well done that is lovely:T

I am finding that the cakes I have sold recently are the more expensive ones form 35 to 70 pounds.

For a basic blanket try Dunelm mills, blankets priced at 2.99 but came through till at 1.49. Matalan, anything between 4 pounds and 9. I got some gorgeous peach/white from John Lewis down from 10 to 5, I thought I might have difficulty selling them but they have been popular, they go great with boots peach baby wear:D Pumpkin patch, lovely blankets on sale just now just ordered 3.

Toys are becoming a problem and very rarely find anything suitable from birth for less than 5 pounds.
  • Awwww brill, thanks :) x
    If it ain't reduced, i don't buy it! :j

XPF not sure of they are the same blankets that you used to purchase from poundland but our local pound shop sometimes sell spotty ones and i have also seen them on ebay....little dearer than the pound shop but cheaper then the £4-£5 you;ve been having to spend xxx

For all the new girls making nappy cakes to sell something i do tell everyone and you might already know but when putting soft toys on the cakes you must leave the tags on them

    Brilliant cake sweetpea!!!

How much are you charging for it?

I've just put my prices up.. I can't justify charging anything less than £30 for a 3 tier now!

Popped into asda and there blankets which used to be £3, are now £3.50! So annoying!!!!

It's funny you say that because I got the ones that had £3 stickers on, but the pink blankets said £3.50 on the barcode but scanned at £4!!!

    They honoured the £3 though!!

£4!!!!!!! That is ridiculous! I don't even like them that much as I hate the way they fold!!! There to soft! I like hardy fleece ones!!
