When I saw you'd ordered some I quickly went and ordered some myself as they are always out of stock everytime I check. Bought some neutral ones too, not quite as good a bargain but still good. And thanks for the code, I saved £1.62! Wont need feeding cloths for ages not!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -
Hello, I've been reading this thread on and off for a few weeks and have found it so interesting! I'm currently starting out making nappy cakes with a view to starting my own business when my maternity leave finishes. I love making them (although it's tricky finding the time at the moment with a 4month old and a 4year old who likes to 'help'!) I thought I would join in if that's ok and pick up some tips?!
The biggest question I have at the moment is what is the best way to post the darn things?? They're so large, heavy and fragile and i'm not sure if courier or royal mail is cheaper although after some research I'm thinking royal mail? Also cardboard boxes to post them is causing me problems as the size I need is not a standard size box, I need tall and thin. I've found a website that makes custom boxes and they work out at £1.18 per box (or £1.50 with delivery charge) does anyone know if this is the cheapest I can get them for?? I need to get hold of some quickly as a friend of mine is ordering two from me in the next few weeks and they'll need posting.
Hope you don't mind me joining your thread and sorry about the length of my post, it's a bit of an essay!! Thanks in advance. Liana0 -
Hi Liana83
Welcome! Can't help much with boxes I'm afraid as I have never posted out.
When I was looking into it a while ago I came across a good site where you can "build a box" to your spec. (However, it ends up a bit dearer than the one you mentioned for the size I put in) I did 700 high x 300 x 300 and it came out at £40.91 inc vat and delivery for 25. (about £1.63 each)
It's www.ascdirect.co.uk
Which site did you look at? Have seen other sites that do "tall" boxes but are usually too wide and I think that makes it costly for packing inside.
Anyway, like I said, I have never posted them so someone else might have better ideas.0
