grr i am so cross. I sold 2 nappy cakes to the same person and she paid me what i charged and all was well until i found out she then charged collegues £10 more and has made a profit out of it herself  I know this is what happens if a shop say was stocking my item but i am cross that i didn't know about it and now they think that is what i charged when i didn't.

You may think i am being silly but all my details are on the cakes and i was hoping for repeat orders as it is a big work place but they won't order if they think i charge too much. I just can't believe the cheek, and the woman actually said ( not to me i have been told from her aunty) she is on to something here and they both thought it was ok and to brag to me after!. Well not from me she is not!

Thats a cheek. Pity you can't let the colleagues in her workplace know and try and deal direct!

I don't think you are being silly at all! I would be livid if this happened to me.

Could you circulate leaflets or something around the "works" with your prices on?

I have all my cakes for sale on Photobucket with a list of ingredients and the PRICE.

I don't have a website or even a blog but, I made some business cards and put photobucket and a password on so people can have a look what is available. It works pretty wel las I can update it easily with new ones and people can see how much they cost.

The only other thing - if this person upped the price by £10 then maybe you should too. (But you could lose any orders then if customers thought they were too pricey)

What are you going to do if she comes back for more? It's O.K. to do that if you have come to an arrangement for her to have commision but otherwise it's not on!

Hi, yes me too. I just found this the other night. I haven't started making any nappy cakes yet as I am expecting a baby myself and am 4 days overdue, but it is something that I really want to get into in a couple of months time

I am looking to use Pampers or Huggies nappies and would be interested to find out cheapest places to buy and what sort of profit people make from selling the cakes.

Hi, I've just started making nappy cakes after the one I made for my sister went down a storm :)

I bought some baby fleece blankets today in Matalan for £2 each. They smell a bit musty so will need a good wash 1st. But they are lovely. Just checked the website and they are on there too. Ooh, they look great. Might see if I can get someone to pop into our local branch for me (don't really think I should be driving in my condition!), or if not I might order online, but then got to pay postage which bumps price up. Good find though, thanks for sharing.

My matalan store didn't have these! I've just ordered some (along with a pair of jeans) :p Shame they didn't have them in blue. I've got the neutral set already. Thanks!
