New Nappy Cake
Comments
-
Have just received a tip off about a website using images that are not their own. There are a number of images stolen from my company.
Here is the website - www.naomisbabybakery.co.uk
Also on facebook - http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Naomis-Baby-Bakery/105963962819960
from one nappy caker to another...
Had a look and I certainly recognise quite a few from other websites.
The thing is - they are all totally different styles so you can tell they are made by different people.0 -
If this woman was for real she'd be mum and business woman of the year. 2 babies to care for and baking real cakes, making all those diff styles of nappy cakes and other gifts, as well as walking her dogs and riding her horse. And she must be delivering in person to be able to post for those ridiculous low costs...

Afternoon everyone! Where has everyone gone?
Was just wondering if anyone has reduced any cakes for "SALE"?
I decided to reduce a few that weren't selling (I think because of the colour) and so far no takers. But it's been pretty slow of late anyway.
I felt I should be putting prices up as everything is more expensive now but thought I would rather move a few at reduced rates at the moment.
Has anyone found reducing prices has actually put people off?0 -
Hi all 'baker's
I haven't been on here for a very long time and after a huge lull in sales I have pretty much given up 'baking' my nappy cakes now. I still do the odd few for people that know I do them. Anyway the point of me posting is just to see if anyone would like any of my left over 'stock'. If you do just PM me and we can sort something out. I have quite a few packs of the baby washcloths in pink packs, blue packs and a green/white neutral packs. I have 2 xmas small teddy bears, 2 xmas baby hooded towels, xmas bibs, pink bibs, blue bibs, neutral bibs, a few blankets, muslins in all range of colours. Lots of florist ribbon (wide). Glad to see that some of you ladies are still just as busyProud mummy to 3 beautiful boys!0 -
Its pathetic that some peeple are so lazy that they resort to stealing other peoples hard work and ideas. Im very new to all this and have made a few cakes for sale havent been able to post a pic yet but I would never dream of pinching someone elses work and passing it off as my own. Losers!!!!0

I think I need to sit down and do some more calculations due to the increase in the price of things.
I haven't as yet put up my prices, but feel like it with the extra travelling around trying to source things.
I'm still struggling to find decent teddies and now our local 'The Range' has closed down (the next one being 16 miles away). Typical, I was getting some really nice baby photo frames from there too, good job I stocked up them before they closed, very nice that they were down to 29p tooBut that was my last resort on finding the 'Shining Star' teddies. Apart from my Ikea bunnies, god knows where I'm gonna find some nice ones now
I haven't advertised for a long time now due to the teddy shortage, but luckily still have my regular customers/friends coming back all the time.
BRING BACK THE ASDA ELLIE'S I SAY :rotfl:A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Hi CandyB101
I still have a couple of Ellies though my best sellers were the Lions.
Like you if I see anything at a good price, I tend to buy a few hence - loads of stock! I have loads of toys but I do pay double what I used to.:(
What sort of toys are you looking for (and colours) and price range. I will keep a look out for you.0 -
Moonpenny, I reckon you must be holding on to those Ellie's for dear life :rotfl: You just don't want to part with them do you ... lol
What were the lion toys???
I use the beige bunnies from Ikea, I think they look lovely with the brown ribbons, but just cannot seem to find any nice pink or blue teddies, if I do see any they just seem to look cheap and tacky.
I'm now down to just 2 pink teddies and have no blue ones at all, I've just used my last blue one today
I can't believe how hard it is.A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
CandyB, the Lion toys were same as Ellies - cream from Asda. Would love to get some more of them. I even emailed head office when they stopped doing them but no joy.:(
I have never used Pink and Blue Teddies. I tend to use cream (again Asda ages ago) and got a load of "Roly" bears from Birthdays Card shop in the sale. They are a light brown colour.
Have managed to get a few toys previously from BHS, M&S, Mothercare etc but always wait for sales or offers. Last week I got some lovely yellow Ducks from Mothercare reduced from £8 to £4.
What sort of prices do you want to pay and I will keep a look out for you?0 -
grr i am so cross. I sold 2 nappy cakes to the same person and she paid me what i charged and all was well until i found out she then charged collegues £10 more and has made a profit out of it herself  I know this is what happens if a shop say was stocking my item but i am cross that i didn't know about it and now they think that is what i charged when i didn't.
You may think i am being silly but all my details are on the cakes and i was hoping for repeat orders as it is a big work place but they won't order if they think i charge too much. I just can't believe the cheek, and the woman actually said ( not to me i have been told from her aunty) she is on to something here and they both thought it was ok and to brag to me after!. Well not from me she is not!:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0
