Yes, sorry! To secure blankets and towels wrapped around the tiers.
The Nappy Cake Baker Association is on Facebook.
  • Tesco have a white packaging set of different sized pins, 155 in the pack at a poundm thats the cheapest i have seen them near me!

Plus someone mentioned on the grabbit board that the boxes of pampers are £2 for £10, stocked up with 4 boxes and used some tesco baby vouchers! Magic!

i get mine from wilko's but i dont leave them in the tiers i then wrap ribbon around the tiers and use a glue gun to stick the ends together,i then remove the pins, reason being is safety once it reaches the customer :)

Your cakes are fab Jojo, I especially like the present one, what a great idea! Not too much to report on the selling side. I've got a few people interested in cakes once babies are born, all due in the next 2 weeks to 3 months so hopefullly they will actually place an order! I've got plenty of baby bits and nappies in and have made up a few different cakes and put the photos on facebook.

Last night I put the photos on out local 'sell it, swap it, give it' group on fb and I had some lovely comments about the cakes, but the real interest was in my pints of socks and flannel reindeer and I now have plenty of orders for those. Great, but I want someone to buy a nappy cake to boost the old self-confidence!

personally in my opinion i dont think the admin of the page should allow it,i posted on MY local group and straight away after a lady posted about her stuff, she wasn't even from my area but she was also posting on other group regions.its not a competition on how to out do each other but some people seem to try to make it that way.were all trying to make a living so i don't really like people treading on my toes
    just my opinion :)
