    have u tired bodycare/savers??

Got them in Savers, four for a pound, thank you! Also got them for £1.02 in Wilkos I saw afterwards - they are like buses!! Made two soap bunnies last night, very proud of myself.

If anyone is doing christmas cakes and are after teddies, Buyology has a selection for £1.49, cute, soft and I think suitable from birth, doesn't say otherwise anyhow!

Just a quickie, I've just been asked to make a nappy cake for a friend of my sisters. I made one a few years ago and just wondered if I could have a bit of help. Can anyone give me a quick guidance for a recipe - my sister wants to go shopping when she finishes work shortly.............I am reading through this thread but thought I would cheat and ask for a short cut !!!!!
Any tips as well greatly appreciated

dont know if anyone has posted this but poundland are selling pink and blue blankets with a white polka dot on it. look quite nice.

That is so typical, I went into town this morning, walked past Poundland and thought I'd get all my other bits first then pop in on the way back to the car. Stupid me went back another way and only remembered once I'd got back to the car  at myself!

I finally found some shining star teddies in The Works woo hoo! And most of my ebay orders have arrived so I now have plenty of pull bows, ribbon and glue dots :) I'm sure I read on here that the Matalan sale has/is starting today so DD2 and I will be paying a visit this afternoon.

Oh, and my friend I posted the bath time cake to sent me £20 via paypal so I did make a small profit in the end :)

Our Matalan is only a 5/10 minute drive from me, and I'm glad I didn't go further for it! I was specifically looking for baby stuff and nothing was reduced in my store apart from a couple (and I do mean a couple!) of packs sleepsuits and vests, all older baby sizes (9-12 months). The sale only started today too, so it's not like it was only the dregs you get at the end of a sale. I did manage to spend over £30 on other bits, like a Linda Barker double duvet set for £7 so it wasn't a wasted journey lol.

Thank you, think I will save my fuel. Am currently ecstatic with my neutral sock find in Tesco this evening, half price - I can finally finish my neutral cake!!!

Is it possible to do anything interesting with scratch mitts anyone?

I didn't do anything exciting with mine, just rolled them like the socks and made what could be called a mini rose bud lol. I can't think what else to do with them as they're quite small. I think I remember seeing a photo on here where they had been put on the paws of the teddy. Obviously that only works if the paws are big/small enough.

Thinking about having a go at making a square tiered cake next.....are they as easy to make as a round one. Also wondering how you keep the sock roses in place...do you use double sided tape. As you can tell, still very much a novice !

I'm having trouble with what size cello to get, especially for a 3 tier cake.
