You were quite right about not being able to do it for £15 all in, but all ends well as it was £17.65 and that's fine with my friend. I've only charged her cost price as I don't have a lot of confidence in my baking skills just yet and she's an old uni friend so I'm happy to do that for my first one.

Anymore orders that need posting will be priced accordingly. I'm just thinking that this cake was only a 1 tier bath time cake (contained 3 Johnson's bottles so that will have added to the weight), so how much will a 3 tier cake cost to post???!!!

I know I've read previously in this thread about couriers but I didn't write down the ones ones mentioned, so can anyone recommend a decent one with reasonable prices for future reference? Ta!

I use Parcel 2 go, they do an estimate but to be honest there are several couriers on their website now, and the cheapest for a 3 day courier (which is what I usually use) is £5.99 + vat. Forget royal mail for anything over a 1 tier as it is so expensive!!

Excuse the dodgy backgrounds in some!!

People who sell to shops, how do you work the finances? I have one retailer who has a big display but they're sale or return so I have a lot of stock sitting there and don't get paid until it sells, which is fine as it's local and great promotion if nothing else, they sold 4 in the first 6 days, then nothing last week. My other shop pays me but on 30 day account. What does everyone else do?

I know Giggle, I think I sold two last week for the same baby but they were different size cakes with diferent things in luckily! I wouldn't mind receiving more than one nappy cake, it would be quite nice to have a little display of them!

Which store have you seen them in? They used to sell them in my local months ago but don't have them anymore. :(
