does anyone know wheree they sell nice white baby blankets? Last year i got some lovely ones from ADAMS which i know a store up north were selling cheeper (they were white with debossed stars on) but i live down south, adams no longer sell them, i thought they had closed down but their site seems to still be up. I'm thinking about christmas and would love white but all the ones i find are cream!

They had some of those white bobbly blankets in B and M stores a while ago. Don't know if they still do them.

    Hi Ladies,

Some lovely cakes being made!! I haven't made any for a couple of weeks, in process of trying to revamp my website or at least do something with it!

I was just wondering where you ae getting your soft toys from at the moment - I'm really struggling to find anything decent and reasonably priced!

Was wondering if any of you sell on folksy/etsy or anything similar and how you do on there? Just curious! I do have a folksy shop selling other stuff but didnt know if these would sell on there or not.

ive only ever sold acouple of towel cakes and they were to family friends, i think one of them i made a loss on (as she got the price wrong and i didnt have the heart to say anything) and the other i think was at cost price. Ive now done some that have 1 x 140ml body scrub, 1 x 50ml shower gel, 1 x 50ml bubble bath, 1 x 50ml body, 1 X cupcake candle, 1 X Marks and Spencers hand towel in them, how much would you charge for them?

vikki_louise - how much did the stuff cost you to buy? It depends on this as to how much you should charge. If you are running it as a proper business you should worlk out your hourly rate and add this - see how long it takes you to make it. If its a hobby you really shoudl do the same but as long as you have a - a figure you are happy to charge and b - you have made enough money for yourself thats all that matters. Sorry, I'm not much help! It really does depend on the stuff in it though eg is it is a premium brand you would charge a lot more than if it were a cheaper brand of smellies!
  • Hi there,
absolutely ages since I posted on MS anywhere!
Hope all sales are going well.... cakes look fantastic!
Just thought I would say that in Mr A they have small soft toys suitable from birth for £1 each would be suitable for mini cakes or maybe as an extra on a large cake.
Also they had beach towels for £2 each - already for next years towel cakes.
and Winnie the Pooh Mini blankets fleece for £1.
    Some good bargains;.
Mr S also has his half price baby stuff again.....stocking up for my own 3 with wipes! Have brought at least 50 packs....who can blame me at 48p a pop?!
Hope to keep up to date more now.
Also goingt to try and change my user name but not sure how.,,,,

I have used the blankets but not the towel.
They are more cream than white!

The blanket is off-white (rather than creamy cream if you know what I mean:rotfl:) and the towel is the same but I would say a bit whiter.
