New Nappy Cake

Just looked at some new stuff on Matalan website and prices have really gone up.
Theire Pram blankets which were £3 are now £4 and they even have some of the Bobbly ones we have used on cakes, at a whopping £9!
I know primark put 50p on theire blankets a while back, but this seems a lot.
Just wondered, in the light of what I think will be higher priced supplies this season, will anyone be putting theire prices up?0 -

does anyone know wheree they sell nice white baby blankets? Last year i got some lovely ones from ADAMS which i know a store up north were selling cheeper (they were white with debossed stars on) but i live down south, adams no longer sell them, i thought they had closed down but their site seems to still be up. I'm thinking about christmas and would love white but all the ones i find are cream!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
Rehome an unwanted prize or gift with a seriously ill child through Postpals.co.uk0 -
Dunnes Stores here in N.Ireland, don't know if you have them on the mainland, sell those white blankets, they have them with stars and bunnies...they were £2, but I think they are £2.50 now, but they are lovely & the only ones I use now!Cazo1:wave:0

Hi everyone.
I have lurked on this thread for a very long time, Saved up information on Nappy Cakes to use in the future. Like I do with lots of Craft projects lol.
I have finally magaged to launch my Nappy Cakes and they are selling slowly but a sale is an amazing feeling. So just really wanted to say thank you to everyone on here for the inspiration you gave me.
I am trying to catch up on all the threads I follow on MSE slowly but there are so many!!
Will try and post pic of a couple of my cakes. I love scanning through the pictures :-)
Wendy. x
Ok so I cant post a picture but they are on my Blog a bit down the page if your interested. Might just have to go open a photobucket account. Always wondered how pictures were put on here. So prefer to see them here than click a link.Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)0 -
Hi Everyone
Long time no post! LOL
How is everyone? Hope you're all well and getting plenty of sales.
I've just been so busy working, but have been asked to make this latest nappy cake - request was for a neutral one - but without nappies! I can't tell you how hard I found it, but anyway, here it is:
It contains:
Bottom tier:
White hand towel for Mum and inside there is:
1 x Top & Toe Basin which contains:
Toiletries
Feeding Spoons
Bibs
Babygros
Baby Brush
Baby Nail Clippers
Then there's another tier which has
Sleepsuits
Bibs
Socks
Scratch Mitts
Feeding Cloth
Baby Blanket
Then on top there is another hand towel for Mum which contains
Baby Wipes
Baby Feeding Bottles
Bath Ducks
Apple Scented Tea Lights For Mum
And on top there is a pair of baby bootees
And as usual finished off with ribbon and flowers.

Hi Moonpenny,
Have you tried the fleece blankets from B&M, £1.49 each, pink/blue/cream.
Thanks CandyB
Got a stash of blankets but can't help looking at new stuff in the shops.
Just wondered if anyone was thinking of upping their prices a tad in the light of having to pay more for supplies!0
