  • Wow it's gorgeous, thanks for the inspiration. What size is your cake board and where did you get it from?

    Hi chinese deli

I made the board out of stiff card and wrapping paper as it was too big to use a cake board

I would stick to an all white theme (blanket/towel & clothes) and use purple ribbon round your tiers and tie off the top of your cello when you have it wrapped with a purple pull bow...think that would look good with your little butterflies arranged on the tiers....good luck with it!

I had to make a disney one which required a red fleece blanket photo in link underneath, i could not find a red baby one so went to dunelm and got a normal size one and cut round a baby blanket i had to get the correct size used pinking shears so no hemming and it looked good so i will do the same again if i need a colour i cannot get.

  • Oooh hello stranger :j how is life treating you?

I remember your twin cake :j it was fab! Thanks for the nudge, I am still trying to get the blankets from someone in the US who will ship to the UK! what a nightmare!

You could maybe use towels? the nappies are the strength of the cake so you would need nappies or something like towels unless you can use blankets and muslins but even the muslins would probably be too flimsy!

I really need to get back into things full stop, its been hectic for about a year so I haven't done any of my jewellery making or crafting since then.

Moved into a lovely new house in march which we love, the girls are growing far too fast and I have a wonderful new man in my life. So I have been preoccupied for all the right reasons!
