had my first order for a 3tier nappy cake yesterday.. im soo chuffed, was starting to think maybe i should give up as had no interest or orders, and then to my surprise one came through... and to top it off the women who bought it owns a florist and is thinking about displaying a couple in her shop. =)

Looks like I may have my first order too, a lady that comes into my daughters shop has said she will buy one in a couple of weeks when the baby is born, luckily I have a blue and a pink one made up. Maybe I should get a neutral one made up as well. Going to try and have a go at making the sock cupcakes and the sock bouquets.
I had made one cupcake up and it was on the computer desk when my (nearly 3 yr old) grandson spotted it, and said he wanted a cake. So at least it looks realistic !!!

    Hi all

I popped into Asda yesterday, and noticed some lion soft toys with £3 on the price tags and 75p on the shelf. I asked an assistant to check and they went through at 75p! I bought 4. They are about 8 inches tall with a shirt that says Best Dad or something like that, but this can easily be removed. I hope this hasn't been posted, I did a quick search and no messages came up. This was Bedminster, Bristol, in case anyone wants to know.

Well done on your orders guys. The lady who received my luxury cake yesterday was really pleased which is great. I have loads of events, craft fairs etc booked now and I have just approached a new baby shop to stock my cakes, I'm a little bit scared!! Do you think baby shops are a good place or that they will favour their own stock that they will make more money on?

fab cakes everyone! I havent been around on here for ages but have been busy making cakes and taking orders. I have booked lots of craft fairs again in the run up to Christmas - I did really well last year - trying to think of new ideas to keep the interest there! Am trying to set up a facebook page but the flipping site keeps crashing when I upload my pics grrrr! Keep up the baking!
