  • Love the cakes you ladies have made. I need to make a neautral one for a friend. Does anyone know the best place for reasonable priced cream/brown coloured bits? i.e blankets, vests, socks etc

Wilkinsons do a neutral range in blankets, hooded towels. However not all branches sell the baby range of clothing/blankets, I have two branches near me and only one of them sells babywear, blankets etc.

You can find cream fleece blankets in B&M for £1.49
I use these bunny's on my neutrals, I think they look fab with brown ribbons.

That's great news lizalloreds, but surely you should be making a little bit of money? Even if it's just going to be spent back on cake ingrediants :rotfl:

Also i wondered if anyone could help me, how do you get cuddly toys to stay on the side on cakes??

I did a cake where it sat on the side but there was very little room, i put a saftey pin through the bears tail and pinned it to the outfit it was sitting on then the cello helped stop if falling sideways

Have you all heard about the recall of some Bodysuits and Sleepsuits from Asda?
Apparently some transfers on the front are peeling off after washing and may be a choking hazard.

On some sites they give item numbers but Pics would be much easier to identify. Looked through mine and although I havn't got the "numbers" in question, I have got some others with the same sort of decoration.
Wondering if these are O.K. now!

    Hi and welcome pesente.

Some cake makers buy wholesale but a lot of us on here buy from all over the place.
Supermarkets are good price and qaulity. Department Stores tend to be more pricey but look when Sales are on. Also, places like Home Bargains, B and M, Dunhelm Mill, Matalan, amd Primark.
Basically, wherever you are - have a look, you never know what you might find!
