  • put them on flikr and then once you can do links that is a way around it
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

  • Thank You to Carlymummy and Butterfly2001. I did try that Photobucket and tried posting the link but it wouldn't let me do that either I will have another go on that program and see if I can do it.
  • Can I just ask how people prefer to put their nappies in their cakes? I have seen them rolled and then swirled and wondered which way everyone found the easiest and gave the best finish to the cake.

I did mine a different way which I think looks fine but wanted to try other ways to see which comes out the best.

Two people have said they would like a cake after seeing the pictures of my first attempt so thought I would try a different way.

    Thanks

  • Hi Danielle
I used to roll the nappies but then when I ran out of nappies for my son I used some that I had instock pre-rolled and they were a bit of a nightmare to use from rolled - so from now on I swirl :) Its much quicker too and I don't need loads of bands then either.

  • Thanks Carly,

How do you swirl them? I have struggled trying to swirl them round.

Thank You For Your Help :D
  • Well I have been asked this before and its kind of hard to describ my method lol!
I start by laying the nappies facedown on the table and overlapping bu the coloured waistband (making any sense?) then I start at one end and roll them together holding them to keep them in a roll, try it with just about 8 to start with and then when you get the technique you will be on a roll (excuse th pun)
If you back a bit through this thread some people explain it much better than m and have better methods too!

  • Ok I will have a look back through, That is what I tried doing TBH but I couldn't get them tight enough together to make it neat enough. I did see one and followed it but wil go back through it and have a look. I'll give it another go on the next one I make for a friend.

Hopefully I will be able to post pictures on the one I have just made for everyone to see.

    TY :T

Hi Poppy I do it the same way as CarlyMummy but found it easier to start out with by using 1 rolled up nappy then swirling around that until you get the hang of it.
  • Thanks Becs I will giveit a try! I was thinking of finding something to put in the middle of it but will try that too when I have time.
  • I've been trying to add a photo of my pram cake, but I can't get it to work properly, so I'll just give you all the link to my Flickr page instead!
