What do you think ?
Please be honest.
This one wasnt cheap the teddy alone was £8.99
Brill cake especially for your first attempt :T
I love the bear on top you can tell he was expensive
Think that it would be reasonable to ask £2.50 for the roll too. Are you going to make some just swiss roll face cloths too for those people that want to buy them for older children/adults? Just a thought

Nice to hear though that the order was from her daughter seeing my cakes at her company, a show I did back in July ...... I've had quite a few orders from that company since, nice to know that they still remember meA creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Hi, have made a nappy cake before but wasn't sure what to use as the base to make iy more sturdy.....do you use proper cake boards or something else?
Thanks xx0 -
I generally use large circles cut out from surplus cardboard boxes but I think most people on here use cake boards.0

Thanks xpf, will have a look at the price of cake boards and if they are not cheap enough will use cardboard, Thanks0

I have 15 silver cake boards that I need to sell. They are single thickness, 10" ones. I need 45p per board, plus postage costs. If one person were to purchase all of them, it would be £3.25 postage and so they would work out at 67p each.
Please pm me if interested.£11,000 in 2011

I think most of us buy cake boards from asda, they're the cheapest I have been able to find at 67p each. I did buy some cheaper boards off the internet but they were too thin and wouldn't hold the weight so no good.0

I use Asda cake boards too. Like Becs I ordered some online but the quality was awful! Very thin. No good for large nappy cakes ok for mini cakes though as there isn't much weight in them. I have just used Asda cake boards in my wedding towel cakes and they have a bottle of bubbly in and a complete towel bale and the asda boards are still strong enough to take the weight!
