It's a lovely size Irishgirl, sometimes I think there's quite a difference in size when buying towels, but those ones look just right. Do you roll your towels really tight, or quite slack?

Thanks Sally, I used two bath towels, two hand towels, two face cloths all from marks and spencer it was only £7.50 for the bale which included everything! I bought two cos I was scared in case one bale was not enough to make this cake, but I only used one bale!!
  • Just made a cake ready for the shop that is going to stock them for me. Its a bathtime cake containing
1 bath towel (blue with embroidered rubber duck on)
    1 matching hand towel
    cake board
    approx 15 size 3 nappies
    johnsons mini talc, shampoo
    johnsons soap
    baby wash cloth
    rubber duck
Total cost to me approx £6 (before wrapping)
I was thinking of selling it to her wholesale rpice of around £12
Retail in shop then she can price anything from £20+
    What do you think?

    Carly :)

I rolled them really tight and used those wooden stick stirrers in between creases 3 on first tier to attach the second tier and one to attach the third tier

    1 bath and 1 hand towel - £3
    approx 15 nappies - £1.35
    Johnsons mini talc 50p
Johnsons mini shampoo - 70p (bought on offer Asda multi-deal on travel size)
baby wash cloth 8p (pack of 12 for 99p)
    Johnsons soap - 25p (pack of 4 for 99p)
rubber duck mini - 20p (pack of 5 for 99p)
cake board - 50p (morrisons on offer)

    "HELP" PLease:j:j

I have just taken a nappy cake round to my local florist and she wants to stock them and put them into the other two local shops. She said she would be interested in taking 15:eek: BUT she would like me to try and get things wholesale so that I can get a good profit and she can add on to make a good profit for herself. She has asked me to look into getting things wholesale but I have no idea where to start:confused: She is off on holiday for two weeks so I have until then to find somewhere.

I can appreciate that some people may not want to post on here in they are buying wholesale but if anyone would be prepared to PM me I would be greatful.

    Thanks
