    Hi Carlymummy

    Thanks for that.

I was thinking of using a Thomas towel or a throw perhaps if I can find one reasonably priced and instead of toiletries I thought I might use things like a watch or a hat and scarf set, perhaps some pyjamas, colouring crayones etc?

As for your new home cake, I did one for my boss's friend and I just put in some utensils, tea towels, egg cups, a plant etc. Here's a piccy:

    Hi me again :)
I know this prob isn't the best place to post this but my friend has just got the keys to her new home (it will be her first home and first time leaving home - 28!) anyway she is really excited and I want to make her a new home towel cake. Any ideas what I could put inside for her and her new fella? She is veggie so I am going to order her a cookbook.
    Thanks in advance
    Carly

Irishgirl62 No - don't have a Dunnes near me. Does it go under any other name?

Also , really struggling with finding really nice creamy/light brown coloured teddies. All I seem to make just lately is cream unusex and have got loads of coloured stuff! Have resorted to buying the "Next" teddy for a five but apart from not wanting to pay that much, it's really a bit too big.
    Anyone seen some nice teddies?

I've just seen (and bought!) some nice cream coloured soft lions from my local poundland.

irishgirl62 - beautiful cake, love the red and white:D

I am looking to make a "small" cake for a 3 year old. I have a small doll for the top so I don't wat to spend too much on the base of the cake, any suggestions? Something along the lines of a mini nappy cake size.

    Thanks

thanks for the Matalan tip - guess where I am going tomorrow lol!

Have seen Thomas Bath stuff in QD and Home Bargains - not seen any tinkerbell stuff but have seen lots of disney princess toiletries. THere are some tinkerbell felt tip stamper pens in home bargains for 69p will keep my eye out for toiletries though

I love your cake too, it's gorgeous! How many towels did you need to make that one?

Thanks Sally, I used two bath towels, two hand towels, two face cloths all from marks and spencer it was only £7.50 for the bale which included everything! I bought two cos I was scared in case one bale was not enough to make this cake, but I only used one bale!!
