I bought plain red and plain cream blankets (fleeces) the other day from Tesco - value section £2 and they are quite big and lovely and soft :)

    Thank you :T

NEgirl - are the blankets baby ones or just big normal ones? Only asking as a clue as to where they will be in my local store! And the fact I quite like a blanket to snuggle under while watching telly lol. Also may be good as a table covering if you do fairs if its bit to look a bit xmassy!

The are normal big ones - i got them to snuggle on the sofa with as its starting to get hot chocolate time and dark nights :D Ive just straightened one out and its about 4ft x 5ft and so soft! lol The Tesco we have has a whole aisle when you first go in where they have all of the half price toys, Christmas decorations, bargains etc and they were on there :) If not there in your store i would try the homeware - they are rolled up with a simple white paper band around them :)

Never thought of using them to cover the tables so will be going back tomorrow to see if theres any left! :D

    Hi Folks

I had the urge to make a Halloween cake this afternoon as my friend always holds a big party each year and my DD usually gets to sleep-over, so got to thinking it would be nice to do her one complete with decorations and some lollies! lol

I'm going to add some pumpkin lights to it too, just waiting for them to arrive!

    What do you think?

Irlrip - They used to have plain white blankets in Home Bargains (the soft short pile furry ones) Also, what about the white Bobbly ones they were selling in Home Bargains and B & M. Not been lately so don't know if they still sell them!

SallyUK Your cake is fantastic! what a change from "sweet" Baby Cakes! LOL
