  • Dopey Dora - those are fantastic! Wow!!!
  • I have just come back from sainsburys - just thought I'd let you know that they have some lovely baby toys suitable from birth reduced to 99p - our store only had cows and hippos left but they are quite nice -They also had mini comforters with animal head - pigs! for 49p and soft rattles 37p all suitable from birth. Hope this is of use to someone!
  • Brudie, pmsl!!!! I am not too hot on the ol' sewing front. I can do a straight hem and that about covers my sewing "talent". Wonder web is fab for the likes of I! ;) On the cello front, do you use the "tube" method?

Dopey Dora, gorgeous cakes. I did a towel cake recently and it turned out ok! Well done.

Gorgeous cakes Dopey_Dora!!! Currently in the process of making a Wedding Cake myself - hope it looks as lovely as yours!!

Just quickly popping on for a bit of advice please - have just had my first order that needs delivering - EEEK!! Where would be the best place to get a box & how is it best to send it - courier companies? A friend of mine mentioned that her BIL used to use a company who you arrange to come and pick it up & they supply the box & everything?!!! Not sure about that myself! Any advice is much appreciated - its for a 3 tier cake - don't want to lose the sale just cos I can't work out how to send it!!

    Hiya,
I bought my boxes in bulk of ebay as it worked out alot cheaper. They have all previously been used but arent written on or torn at all. I also state in my T&C's that I use recycled packaging - so far it hasn't been a problem.

Regarding couriers - I set up an account with a company called www.saletrackparcels.co.uk You have to deposit £50 to get started but if you book your collection before 12noon they collect that day and usually deliver the next day. Each delivery is just over £6 inc VAT. So far they have been great but I also hear that parcels2go are quite good too.

 Thanks to everybody in the crafting threads who inspired me to start my own business!!
