I'm quite upset getting rid of my little duck ..... he's a spanish duck who quacks when you press his belly :rotfl:

Mind you, quite happy today, 3 cakes and 2 daddy tool belts sold this week ..... yipee !!!
Better get the sewing machine out again.

  • Made up 3 cakes for the local florist night before last. Finished them off yesterday. The owner asked me to take a couple in so he could see them and hopefully he will stock them.

I changed the ellie on the top of the blue one to a new baby teddy and it works much better.
Rusty they look fab :D Gorgeous jumpers on your teddies.
Where do you buy your patterned blankets from?

Did you manage to get your head around your 'bow maker' ..... I'm ready to throw mine through the window
I'm hopeless at tying bows and can't even make one using that !!!!!!!

Thanks Candy!! and well done on all your sales ;)

Patterned blankets were from Matalan, the girls one now has ladybirds on it and the boys boats. Last year they were planes on the boys and butterflys on the girls ;) ..... Also Ethel Austin have reduced the price of their blankets from £5 to £4 to £3 and are now £3 some lovely girls and boys ones in my local ;)

Bow maker?? do I have one of them?? think I used it once, and I remember seeing it in the bottom of my card making box the other day when I was looking for something. I can do bows by hand now ;)

  • Well I am sooooooo chuffed with myself.

I have just dropped off the 3 cakes at the local 'playbarn', the girls loved them.
And .... the manager was so impressed, she is allowing me to make up a cake and leave it on show in their shop .... along with my leaflets.

Decisions ...... decisions ....... should it be pink, blue, cream/brown or yellow ?????

My mom always said I twisted my bows when tying my shoe laces ..... after all these years I figure it must be true.

    Good luck on Staurday Rusty,
Giggles do you want a cheque in the post or can I paypal you?
    pm me details. ta
  • Lovely cakes Rusty and Candy, well done girls.

Candy, I find doing the "2 ears" method of bowmaking produces the best results (does that make sense lol). I think I would go for a neutral colour too. ;o)

Giggle, good luck for the show on saturday :)

  • Here's a cake I made for one of my colleagues, she told me what type of items she wanted in/on it. She was very happy with it when I took it into work today:D I should have taken a pice before I wrapped it as you can't see it very well with the cello on:rolleyes:
