Just had my first online grocery shopping delivery from Sainsburys, couldnt fault it, the driver asked if it was my first time (ooer) went through the substitions with me, even told me not to ring the customer service number if i had any probs and get in touch with the local store direct. Very helpful and no problems touch wood!!0

...but not now, I've had my first Sainsbury's delivery this week and it was fantastic...
Seriously though, we had just finished and put away the dinner stuff, when the delivery arrived. The driver noted it was my first order, so went through everything with me, brought my order to the door showed me the few substitutions and then, much to my amazement, my OH helped me put everything away!!
I hadn't spend 1 and a half hours, driving to the shop, pushing the trolley, selecting the items etc, through the check-out, loading the car, driving home and unloading the car into the house, to find OH at his computer desk reluctant to come and help. In my book, it was brillant.
Now the only trouble was, I doubled my usual spend, so I didn't save any money. In my defence, because I was not doing the lifting etc, I ordered extra of the heavy items; and because the rest of the family helped with the list, they all had their choices (next time, I'll do it by myself and cut out all the treats).
By the way, the thing I was most worried about, the fruit and vegetables arriving bruised etc, did not happen, everything was in good condition but then I had asked for already bagged apples etc, because I find they are in the best condition when I shop anyway.
Thanks to all those who encouraged me to have a go, by posting their positive experiences.0
