Never Grocery Shop again

  • I have shopped with Saisnburys online for about 3 years now - I much prefer them to Tesco. For example you have to have money in your bank account when you order with tesco - so let's say I'm doing an order to be delivered on payday - if there's no money in the account it won't accept the order - which I think is really wrong. They've been late numerous times - even cancelled orders and not rearranged them - and believe it or not I find Sainsburys to be cheaper overall - cannot fault them.

Ive never found this to be a problem. I pay with Switch on Tesco.com & always do my monthly shop to coincide with Payday, I did it last night & have precicely £8 in my bank account & it went through fine. Ive never had any problems. So long as the money is in my account the morning of the delivery
  • I'd like to try asda as I hear delivery is free on big orders but they don't deliver in our area.
Tesco did a strange thing. I had a wine order and a grocery order in the same slot - why wait in twice? - but they came in the same van, so why did I have to pay two delivery charges? (I had them covered by two discount codes but that's not the point!) Oh, and do you check your shopping? I've only had something missing once but got something I hadn't ordered twice!

Yes always check. Mistakes are rarely made but when they do, a quick email to CS does the trick and refunds are prompt.

    I've been Money Tipped!
My only regret is that I didnt think of this sooner. Do you guys tip your drivers? We're not sure what's appropriate.

If the driver is good you can send a commendation for them I did and he was very pleased when he returned! Got excellent service!

I think I emailed it to customer services can't remember

I always tip the driver if they give a good service, ie are friendly, helpful and explain any substitutions to me. The only time I haven't is when one particular delivery man was a right nark.

I normally give £2 and they are always very grateful. Can't be a well paid job.

Each to their own though. I am lucky that my husband and I are both in decent jobs and can afford to. If we couldn't afford it I wouldn't.

OMG Do you really tip the driver? I didn't even think to do so! I feel awful now cos I usually keep them talking for a good 10 minutes (me = chatterbox) so I guess I should be tipping them!

If you head over to the vouchers board there is a sticky with Tesco codes in it. Get yourself some extra points or sometimes a free delivery one is posted.

Remember if your posting or using codes to check the source! ;)
