Well as you can see from my new total things are going from bad to worse this month:mad: - had to pop to the Butcher's as we are doing a Father's Day family BBQ this weekend and I also had to pop to Asda for some bits and got carried away by some bargains - Surf Small & mighty 42 wash bottle on special at £3, comfort fabric conditioner 80 wash bottle on special at £3, also had to buy Contact Lens solution, etc etc.:o
Also popped to Lidl as they have Nescafe 200g jars on special at £3 - with all these bargains being stockpiled hopefully I will come in on Budget next month.
On the up side I have still being using stuff from the Freezer/cupboard inventory, last night we had a curry using some sliced lamb from the Freezer from last month's Roast and filled it out with mushrooms, peppers etc from the Freezer. Tonight we are having a HM Mince Pie, last time we had this I made double quantity filling so I have only had to make the pastry today.:D Having that with some mash, carrots and green beans.
MRSMC - still got my fingers crossed for your Mum's results, and Orkneystar - sorry to hear your Mum is in Hospital.
Hope you all have a good evening - HFW on at 8pm again on Channel 4 tonight - not sure about what he plans to do with those Snails."WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Good job you have hidden them.
I spent £35 in Lidl yesterday, purchasing extra juice and bits for DS's 'party', as well as a normal amount of FV, bread, stock up on salad dressings etc. Seems a lot but I got 1 large and 2 medium bags worth of things! Then spent just under £30 in Tesco, again stuff for 'party' and also for cake making (have cake to make for DS birthday x 2 and also stuff to make for Church event at the weekend!). Of the total, £35 came from the food budget and the other £30 came from the 'birthdays' budget, as we would not normally buy so much cakey things!
Anyway no more big shopping for a while, just top ups/whoopsies if there are any.
Fingers still crossed for your mum MrsM, my mum is in hospital right now and I understand how you feel!

I hope your mum gets well soon. xxx***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

we have got gammon steaks for tea tomorrow they were :eek:in price but hopefully:D in taste stakes...a bit of what u fancy and all that

Just a quick update to keep myself on track.
Defrosted the kitchen freezer yesterday and made a list of what we've got. Then made a menu plan for the rest of the month and a very detailed shopping list for tomorrows shop. I've found lots of money off coupons which I hope to be able to use too. Some cashiers take them and others don't.
Seem to be paying out loads of money to school at the moment for
various trips etc....
I also have a secret place in the garage for the bulk buys. I put it in a large zip up bag (the sort you might use to go to the laundrette) at the back of the garage and make sure I don't let the children see me when I take things out of it!) I store crisps, penguin bars, pure juice cartons and things like that that disappear if they're put straight in the cupboard.:rotfl:
Good luck everyone.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

I know what you mean about school trips etc...
Also, I try to hide bits and pieces otherwise they would disappear! Unfortunately I don't have a garage and I'm sure my family have got a 6th sence because they manage to find my extra shopping and tuck in!!!***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -
Morning all!
Just reporting in on yesterday's spends...
Managed to part with £10.50 in total in Aldi - bought potatoes, cheese, turkey, 2 packets of biscuits, nuts, milk, squash and mustard.
I got a bit carried away in the biscuit aisle - hadn't had lunch!
Never mind - I'll add it to the total.
One more shop to go this month.0 -
Need to do a quick inventory of my freezers (and see how [strike]much[/strike] little space I have in them!), then I'm off to Mr T with my 5th Mr M voucher to do some spending.
Shouldn't have much to add to my totals when I come home though -- DD has given me a list for today that should come to around the £20 mark, so I only need to spend about a tenner to save myself a fiver :TCheryl0 -
:eek::eek::eek::eek: Only £1.83 left... :eek::eek::eek::eek:
I seem to be addicted to yellow stickers and reduced stuff... Its only a bargain if I haven't got 10 of them to use up already and can't store any more:rotfl:

I know the feeling, my freezer is full of yellow sticker stuff and I just keep buying more:rolleyes:
Been to MrT's this morning and managed to spend £18.32p, picked up some pork belly and sasages both yellow stickered which are now in the freezer with the rest of my ever growing supply of meat stuff. I'm going to have the pork belly on Sunday with new potatoes & cauliflower cheese. I now have £34.86p left until the end of the month, I'm sure that with some meal planing I can come in on budget for June.
Shelley xBack on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400
